Quickcast on release for your E to get precise aim. Be on the lookout for a squishy target that is a bit further away from the tank (or any stuns) you should be able to dash in and kill them/force a retreat even from full HP while the enemy team is engaging yours. Do no be the first person to engage unless you're sure you will kill them and get your E reset.

In general you're, very slippery and should be able to reach any caster in any position and kill them unless their tank is dedicated to babysitting them at all times.

Cool, yeah I switched everything from quickcast to on release until I get more used to him. I think I'll practice in qm instead, I had sorta a similar problem where I felt like I was trash at Tracer against ai, but then was decently wrecking folks in qm. Seems like that sort of hit and run style works better against people than the ai. Especially the kael thezad ai, who is absolutely nuts. He chained me as Genji, I E away, then mid-E the chain shoots out and pulls me onto my fort.

For genji, where should most of his damage come from? Close range Qs?

E and your Q, if you miss your E in you're probably not going to accomplish much. And his W varies wildly depending on your target. Also when laning, if your opponent is in the middle of his wave and your minions aren't nearby you can dash in and W to blow him up.

Should I be saving the E for resets in non-W burst situations? Or just do the 'hop in with D, qqq, then E out'?

If you're stuck in lane, take a look at your map then decide if you can commit E to poke. Ideally you'll be roaming from lane to lane to dash in and help your teammates secure kills though. You can essentially treat him as a stealthed hero since your dash range lets you pop into any lane without being seen.

Belial seems like such a weird choice. I'm guessing he will have some really weird, very unique gimmick because outside of that I can't see why they would pick him out of any other Diablo character ever.

I think they don't want to drown everything in Warcraft and Overwatch characters, so they're throwing in occasional Diablo/Starcraft characters just to break up the flow. It's been a half-year since Malthael(almost a half year since Stukov.)

Maybe someone on the heroes staff has mild OCD and doesn't like that one D3 Act Final Boss isn't playable? We got Butcher, Azmo, Diablo, and Malthael now, sooo...

He'll be gimmicky as gently caress. They seem to have a thing for 'character fantasy' and I doubt someone with the title 'Lord of Lies' is going to have a standard kit.

They're running out of Diablo characters too, really. They can prob make a hero out of Deckard Cain, and I guess they can make more class ports like Xul and Cassia. Even then, how do you make a Paladin different from say, Johanna, Uther, or any other Warcraft Paladin?

My longshot character is the Scoundrel follower Lyndon. I sort of want to see what the Heroes team would do with another sarcastic jerk character ala Alarak. He's less significant than Belial though, and gameplay wise he'd be yet another archer type to add to the cast.

Belial is the only Diablo 3 act boss that isn't in yet. It was obvious they were gonna do him eventually. (e:fb)

They should do Mephisto and Baal first though yes.

I only know characters from D2, but like... Johanna already feels like paladin, and Jaina already has the main spells that a cold sorc has, minus frozen orb. Necro's already covered by Xul, Barbarian by Sonya, Amazon by Cassia. What else could they do? Druid and Assassin?

Unless if they want to replicate how it felt to PVP against a hammerdin, where you get killed by invisible desynced hammers.

Could do different variant builds with the opposite gender character. Make the male D3 wizard and base him around Slow Time/DMO set, etc.

Lyndon is the only good character in Diablo 3 so I'd be 100% for this. They could lean more on his Thieves' Guild background for abilities rather than just archer stuff.

You guys never play a zealadin?

Make him an assassin who uses a 2 hander and the longer he attacks the same target the faster he gets

From Diablo we still have a few angels that can be characters, Imperius, Itherael, Urzael,

The Great Evils; Tathamet, Mephisto, Baal, Andariel, Duriel, Belial

Pretty much all the demon henchmen like the spider women, butterfly lady, farting butcher, etc

It'd be cool to get Lilith and Inarius as a combo character, they were mentioned quite a bit in Act 5 for Diablo 3. Downside is that Blizz would have to make up a lot of moves for these characters but Diablo isn't running out of any named people very soon.

There is a guy who leaks stuff on some site, reddit or a chan, not sure which.

There is also a youtuber who does weird things with his voice and comments on them here is the most recent with Blaze, Mal'Ganis and Belial.

Leaked info is:

9.01 Firebat - first terran SC warrior, not much CC but very high HP and AoE dmg
30.01 Mal'ganis - warcraft assassin, more of a bruiser, relies heavily on constant heals during fight from dealing dmg to enemies. Think Thrall/Artanis playstyle
20.02 Belial - Diablo specialist: has some stealth mechanics like cloaking allies, can "become" allied or even enemy minions (works like an invisible Abathur's symbiote) and later reveal himself from them, destroying it in the process and appearing there himself (so a global teleport)

Ok for some reason Genji seems better in qm against real people than the ai...I think because the ai will hearth back at low health while some people hang around and let me just poke them down. Also the ai really nails you with stuns, so I was dying a whole ton in those matches but so far getting around 1-2 deaths against people.

Man, I was about to ask this same question. I've had an awful winrate tonight, and one of the reasons has been my trying to get Tyrael to 5. I had some minor success comboing judgement with a friend Illaden's the hunt, but for the most part it has been getting rolled on. He seems reasonably tanky, but his damage hasn't been impressive any way I've built him, and he doesn't have any real peel.

Holy poo poo, something I didn't realize until watching this Grubby video is that Bunker Drop only has a 40 second cooldown and it counts down while the bunker you dropped is in play, which means that you have roughly 30-35 seconds between uses. I don't know exactly how useful it's going to wind up being in practice but it's kind of nuts that you can drop one in basically every single teamfight and some between.

He lacks cc but he can set up amazing plays in the right comp, like sanct is potentially one of the best ults in the game for heavy frontline/dive comps. Judgment is good too, but again you need to have a comp that can dive with you to follow up. I don't think you really pick him to do damage or peel, it's more like you're playing support to a good frontline like illidan/sonya/tracer with khara/uther and use his mobility to set up plays since an illidan will always out-dps you anyway. That makes him worse in poke comps since you have a harder time protecting the backline. If you need a tank to counter something like genji destroying your mage then pick someone with cc.

His throw still absolutely wrecks people who are even slightly out of position. Had a game yesterday and it was literally my whole team getting thrown into theirs, one at a time. The only reason we won was because their team threw when they tried to core us, and we got a punisher to push down their almost empty lane.

Played a few more heroes to 5

Rehgar - I won three of the five matches it took to get him to 5. I like him a lot. It is amazing how the instant mount transformation helps the feeling of game flow. His wolf transformed attack move is neat too, and lets you help feel like you are contributing to the ganks. Wolf in, attack, drop an earthbind totem to seal off the escape, and finish the job. Drop a healing totem for your lane buddy and get back to business. Ancestral healing feels pretty huge too, though I did sometimes try to drop it too late, watching my would be target expire. I think he might be my favorite support so far. Definitely another one on my 'to buy' list.

D'va - I won...well...none of the matches it took to get her to 5. D'va has tied brightwing for me in win ratios. I'll be honest, I don't really get her. I feel like the most useful tool in my arsenal is trying to separate a kill target with boosters and bodyblocking. Her damage doesn't feel remarkable, and her main method of sustain seems to be self-destruct. I couldn't find too many useful opportunities for defense matrix, though I am sure that better players find it effective.

Li-Ming - I won two of the six games it took to get her to five. Not great. I tried both her arcane orb and magic missile builds, and overall found magic missile to be more effective. Arcane orb definitely packs punch, but the precise range requirements seem to make it less reliable. Overall, I am not a big fan. Good damage, but super squishy, and she can't really clear a lane in timely fashion. She doesn't seem to have the same utility like stuns, slows, or fear that the other mages bring to the party.

Honestly his skin is rad enough I'm tempted to buy the bundle.
