Yo SteelMentor, the casual tournament thing you mentioned is a GW Newcastle right? Me and a friend will be there too! If you see a tall blonde guy with glasses playing grey death guard come say hi, ! The 40pl level, no duplicates in unit types is a little weird but it's my first actual event so I'm going to use it to figure out what rules and stuff I've been getting wrong. Bringing typhus, 7 marines with 3 plasma guns, a plagueburst crawler and some deathshroud, not sure how it'll do, wanted to bring my drone but didn't get it painted in time

Thing are absolutely nails, especially when your mate just rolls hot on his invulnerable saves. A unit of them basically walked straight through my army's shooting, shrugged off my Autarch's attacks and brutally crushed him, as well as everything else they got their hands on. I'm unsure how they can really make the terminator versions any tougher, given they already have T5, 3W, 2+ and 3++.

The SoS make less sense to me, have they been retconned into always having been still running the Black Ships? if not then yeah it doesn't make much sense for them to still be around if they haven't been doing the thing they existed to do.

The Sisters of Silence are basically a walking Deus Ex Machina that is invoked whenever the writer needs to explain why an enemy psyker hasn't blown up everything forever. Not that I hate their concept, I actually like them as branch of the Imperium, but i've never seen them used as anything other than a narrative device to explain why Russ and later Guilliman didn't get owned by Magnus.

Throw Carrion Throne on that Custodes pile as well. While they take a backseat to the Inquisitors, every scene they're in they leave an impact. All those Storm Troopers/Flagellants/Grotesques never stood a loving chance.
