The demo is a lot more combat heavy than most of the game, for what it’s worth. Still really good though.

I got automata after Christmas for $35 cad off amazon but it got stolen in the mail or delivered at the wrong address (the mailman is on vacation). Thankfully amazon is sending me a replacement this week. Can’t wait!

Man, for every enjoyable moment in Andromeda - the dorky as gently caress flirting Ryder struggles with is amazing, being able to make a pinpoint accurate laser cannon - I get annoyed by a wasted system, or another set of barren fetch quests. My mockery of the game when it first came out has just been replaced by disappointment. Glad I got the game at such a discount, multiplayer is great, but there was so much more potential with this.

In my city the addresses and their orientations are standardized. The numbers go up as they spread outward from the lake if they're N-S or our "main" street if they're E-W and they are even or odd depending on whether they're on the N/S/E/W side of the street.

has there been any new info on being able to change PSN IDs? I saw some interview a couple of months ago where some Playstation guy said he was hoping by the next PDX they wouldn't have to get asked that question anymore so I guess they are working on it? man I would for sure pay $10 or whatever to change it like I can on xbox

Automata was down to I think $35 or $40 on PSN. I plan to buy it mid-year. This year feels like a catch-up year after all the great games from last year.

Looks like it's taking the best part of MGSV and doing other things with it. Kind of digging how you can just build things quickly in the field and use them to your advantage in situations. Looks like they're having fun with all that portal poo poo.

The whole reason Konami is crawling back to video games is because early last year the Japanese government legalized casino gambling and was forced to bring pachinko into line with new gambling laws. They would be happily churning out even more pachinko machines if not for that, but I appreciate this whole Super Bomberman R/not being completely terrible people Apology Tour that Konami is on. I'd really appreciate it if they white listed P.T.

I beat Horizon: Zero Dawn over the weekend. It's bittersweet knowing I won't have that new experience to look forward to when I get home from work. Such a beautiful game and I'm really glad it was my first PS4 experience because I'm hooked on the platform. I will definitely be coming back in the future to play NG+. With the entire story in retrospect, I really appreciated The Frozen Wilds DLC, and I'm glad I experienced that content before beating the game. However, all things considered, I think my favorite part of the entire game was the first hour. Something about how the storytelling introduces Alloy just hit me and really got me immediately invested in her character. It was a little breathtaking how quickly I was telling myself, "Hey, I really give a poo poo about this little kid." At that point I was hooked. With that said, I think I'm moving on to Nier next, despite Bloodborne and Persona 5 also being on my list... Tough call.

Bloodborne and P5 complement each other very well, sometimes you'll need to take a break from Persona's wall of texts and sometimes you'll need to play something that doesn't make you dread every step you take.
