You get arrested because the cops are bitch made dip shits but you don't get charged with anything because they're incompetent and don't actually know the law.

Actually, she got arrested because the police wanted to take pictures of her client and she declined to allow them to do so.

There's a very short pause between when the guy says "I'll arrest you for..." and "...resisting arrest" where you can tell that his mouth wrote a check that his brain couldn't cash.

I'd missed this when it originally happened and now I'm loving furious because that officer is undoubtedly suffering minimal consequences for what should be a criminal act.

My brother got convicted of non- violent resisting arrest when he was 15 at a party because the cops showed up to break up the party and he was so scared that he didn't step outside when the cops came to the door.

This has bled off on me and my little brother, last time I got pulled over for a broken tail light the cops asked if I was related to him, when I answered honestly I was immediately thrown in cuffs while they searched my car.

gently caress the cops.

Except pulling your self up by your bootstraps is impossible while being arrested for nothing other than resisting arrest seems to work most of the time and is a real handy get out of misconduct free card for police :(

How can you be threatened with arrest for resisting arrest? That doesn't make sense.
If they haven't yet attempted to arrest you, how can it be said that you were resisting arrest?

It's California, and, thus under California law. Under said law, political affiliation (barring criminal/unconscionable acts due to said affiliation) is a protected class. So it's (sadly) not so clear cut, I am afraid.

While this is true, do you think Google et al. are all stupid enough to base their firings on those employee's political views, or do you think that just mayyyyyyyybe they were toxic employees who probably all had multiple write ups for being a dipshit at work?

BOO HOO I GOT FIRED BECAUSE OF MY POLITICAL VIEWS!

Uh, no. You were fired because you groped Kathy in accounting more than once, openly complained about "the blacks," advocated for genocide for anyone who is darker than whole milk, and made a hostile work environment for everyone around you.

Literally every single rear end in a top hat who bitches that they were fired because they're conservative has a track record of being an awful human being and has write ups a mile long.

Edit: From the Trump thread:

quote:

He apparently called a Muslim coworker a terrorist and went all internet detective on the person for taking a trip to Pakistan as well.

It's not surprising he's been unable to find work since anyone he applies to punches his name in to Google () and sees they authored that racist MRA screed and they just nope the gently caress out.

Yeah, he was fired for being a prick.
