greatest boss fight, thematically of all time minor nitpick about the HD collection/storytime the most genius thing this game does in the original ps2 version is force-letter box the game when you get near a screen transition and you see a small mini-cutscene of snake running into the transitions and back and the letter-boxing goes away when you get control. after you defeat her in the boss battle here and snake raises his gun to the boss's head, the loving letter-boxing drops away and you hear the sound it makes dropping that the game has forced you to learn and to listen for and when you realize what the gently caress that sound means as the camera pulls back and snake aims his gun at her head it is prob the most powerful moment of gameplay in any game ever........... but in the HD collection everything's letterboxed already so you don't see anything drop away you hear the sound of the transition and it really takes away from its impact. game is still a masterpiece and the boss's death is so good I still get the chills even tho I'm 31 now
