I've worked here for 7 years, another guy just over a year. The electronics engineer didn't know about it either and he's 25 years older than the rest of us. Lots of different work and technical school backgrounds. I think that this not a widely known feature. I'm going to ask as many people as I can about this. I daresay the gif is doing good work here.

Using pliers is infinitely easier and you're less likely to accidentally cut yourself doing that. Like, yeah, that's what the slit on cap is for but it kinda sucks and there are easier methods.
