Joe Biden, the little-known Senator from a tiny state with an identical political economy as the Cayman Islands, would be a very different campaigner than Joe Biden, recent beloved Vice President and critical component of the most popular outgoing administration in living memory for most voters. From media coverage to staff recruitment to personal confidence to donor courtship I just don’t think he’s be the same candidate at all. That said, as powercrazy mentioned, there were always loud rumors of Biden being handsy even when I was doing work related to the 2012 campaign. Plus I think the weaknesses in his record would doom him now.
