Lol somehow I got the Engineer service assignment unlocked, by randomly whipping limpets around every corner and just *happening* to hit 2 tanks with <30 health in a row, on the same life. It *can* be done, friends. Is the only behemoth with destroyable parts the ship? I've been bombing the gently caress out of the trains to no avail.

That was great, melee kills from the front were retarded. Having to bash someone's skull a few times before getting the kill animation isn't bad aswell.

If you need the “behemoth part damaged” bonus for that one assignment, try attacking the Destroyer with torpedos from the transport boat. For some reason you can get the bonus even from just hitting the hull enough times.

what a bunch of poo poo games tonight, I had the worst luck in teams. every round started out full but by the halfway point my team was down anywhere from 4 to 7 players every loving time. there were at least 3 rounds we were winning by several hundred tickets and suddenly we’re short almost 2 full squads for the rest of the game until we lose. I even switched servers and changed teams a couple of times and it happened in every one of them. didn’t use to have some kind of balancing system?

It normally fills up the team with less players but sometimes you'll bleed players on your team faster than that so you end playing always with less players. Lots of people quit instantly when they join a game in progress, losing and with a few playes missing. I don't blame them, this game can be really unfun if the teams are too unbalanced and get steamrolled.

First time playing in a few months, jumped in some Operations. The team I joined was pushed back to the last capture point on Verdun so I stuck it out thinking it'd be over quick and we'd start a fresh game. Somehow we rallied, never lost the point, then successfully defended the same sector the next two reinforcement rounds. One of the best experiences I've had in any Battlefield Again I haven't played in awhile but it seems like the ticket numbers are much higher for the attackers and my beloved Ribeye isn't as good as I remember. Are there any good newer DLC weapons I should work toward? That wide open Russian map that's basically a giant field might be my least favorite map to play.

They are working on a pigeon gadget that you can fly around and spot enemies with for Apocalypse, but haven't said for sure it will make it in. Unfortunately you can't crash it into people for a kill. Super dissapointing. If I don't have a pigeon UCAV by the time this is all said and done the whole thing will have been for nothing!

Has anyone experienced this issue before? When I join a party, my headset/microphone works fine. I can hear people in the party and they can hear me. However... after about a minute or two, something happens, and I can no longer hear anyone in the party. They can hear me fine though. Unplugging the mic and plugging it back in do nothing. The only way to fix the issue is to turn the controller off, then back on again. This gives me another minute or two of my headset working, then it stops again. The headset is fairly new, as well as the controller. Does anyone know what the hell is causing this?

Hell, you could have over 200% accuracy on BF3 when lots of people only played Metro 24/7 with a shotgun and frag rounds.

been playing two new (not the naval ones about to drop) maps on the CTE that are pretty cool. a couple of highlights that made me happy: there's a new AA rocket gun that fires flack rounds instead of AT rounds there's a new emplacement weapon, a fixed mortar fire system that hits a flag with gas

Update installed, EA servers down I finally unlocked the parabellum (just suppressive) and hold poo poo that thing is a monster. I had 70-kill games of frontlines with that and then the machinepistol as a final hurrah before they both were nerfed in the patch. Because obviously the Hellrigel and Automatico need to be buffed up.

I just played one of the 2 new maps and woah baby was it terrible. Just an island with some points on it and a ton of boats. I haven’t had a problem with a single map in this game yet, but this one is pure garbage.

Yeah, not impressed with the two new maps. The island one is pretty, but it's like there's nothing to do on it? The bridge one is real bad too, like literally just a straight line. I think that both of them are conquest assault, which is a kinda lame game mode doesn't help either. Machinepistol is a recoil machine, it's previous function of engagements outside of <10 m is pretty much useless because you have to burst fire it to get any semblance of control (or aim at the enemies feet), and because its only major pro was its high rate of fire, I don't really understand its purpose. New bipod system is going to take a lot of getting used to. I guess on one hand it's good that you can't turn a 900-RPM machinegun into a laser cannon. But given that the suppression mechanic doesn't actually seem to do all that much, you lose a big advantage of running the LMG and are at a much higher risk of getting plinked in the head by a sniper. I honestly didn't feel much of a difference with the SMGs, but only really ran the Ribeyrolles and MP18. I refuse to use the Hellriegel on principle. SLRs don't feel different at all. The RSC, which everyone was glowing about because of the 2-hit kill range increase and increased ROF isn't that different. It still shoots slow enough that you die in any close range encounter. The Autoloading .35 and Sleb1906 feel the same. Honestly the biggest difference I saw was that LMGs just mow the poo poo out of people more than before, even low-level players would win moderate and long range encounters because they can just hold down the trigger in your general direction and manage to land 5 shots, and you're dead. Oh, and the new tripwire bomb mechanic is just god drat stupid, how does sprinting through a bomb make it do more damage? And WHY is it enough damage to kill you instantly? Expect every hallway and ladder to be HE tripwired, and expect to die from it a lot more. Overall not the end of the world, but I still STILL don't understand why this was done really, I felt the classes were relatively balanced except for the Hellriegel and 10A. The netcode still has major issues, I'm still getting killed around corners and under cover at least once per game. Calvary is still weak and dies too easily. To my understanding, the dev wanted to buff all the SMGs to be on level with the Automatico... which doesn't make sense to me. The Hellriegel accounts for the majority of kills in the entire game, with the Automatico variants coming in second and third. Why not just bring them down, fix a lot of the other problems with the weapons? Why does it have to be that all the other weapons match them? New maps are kind of lame unless you get a good vehicle spawn, and conquest assault suuuuuuuuuucks, but: Increased the 2-hit kill range of the Russian 1895 Trench from 47 to 70 meters. Increased one hit kill headshot range of the Russian 1895 Trench from 41 to 64 meters.
