I always got Sauerkraut when I was sick as a child because it apparently unsicks a child. I hated it. I haven't been really sick since nearly 30 years, so I guess it worked, because the fear of having to eat that poo poo again seems to give my immune system super-powers.

Anyone else get the 'banana' flavoured antibiotic liquid? Banana flavouring doesn't taste like actual bananas anyway, but that stuff was vile. Calpol on the other hand...

I'm not generally a fan of pickled foods, but sauerkraut is pretty great. I'm a fan of brassica in all its varieties, so that may be a part of it. Speaking of which, someone mentioned mos burger - don't know if it's gone downhill in the last 15 years but I really enjoyed a fast food burger topped with piles of shredded raw cabbage the one time I visited Tokyo.
