Maybe there's a few exceptions, but I'm telling you, female gymnasts train so much they eat whatever they want. That's why they all have the "fluffy phase" when they get fat after retiring. they have to adjust their diets. I mean, one of the articles about how terrible USA Gymnastics was (beyond allowing a man to sexually abuse teenage girls for two decades) talks about girls starving themselves directly.

But that's just... it's a grain, it's packed with carbohydrates, why would someone think it's not a carb? And paleo diet says "no grains," quinoa is a grain, unambiguously so, it's clearly not OK in paleo.

USAG is an absolute poo poo show and their coaches are loving trash. The girls were systematically abused and everyone involved should be sent to the Hague. But it does not matter at all what these girls eat. Unless they're literally building an igloo out of klondike bars and eating themselves out they're fine.

Yeah, my oldest niece is going to WVU in the Fall, was recruited there to cheer, but they do not offer scholarships for cheer. She also had a chance to go to Louisville and cheer, and at least they have a scholarship that effectively replaces the sports scholarship for their cheerleaders. I think I'm more mad about that fact than she is. They easily devote as much time to cheer as I did for 3 sports in high school

So I used to work for a Mennonite (amish lite) owned company, very religious had a lot of long time lifers that led prayer circles etc etc. We had a web filter we didn't really get alerts or anything from because we didn't care to monitor activity only prevent malware, except for one day we had to look for something and noticed a guy getting flagged for porn every day between certain hours going back pretty much the entire history of the filter. Not just any porn, specifically nudist family stuff. This guy led the prayer circle. Whole situation was gross, they nuked his entire office because of "stains under the desk" and I can only remember the times I've shook his hand. Anyways that was the only time I was glad to revoke access

It was a bit funny in that the response of the higher ups was utter disgust to the point they tore up the office but at the same time they tried to keep the exact reason completely hushed so we were not supposed to tell anyone why he was fired (we did)
