Like he has the arm strength to get it downfield but if youre asking him to hit a 10 yard route it's going to get there tenths of a second sooner than a bunch of current guys. The shotgun sets up the run if the passing is successful. Linebackers play back on their heels or in zones to cover for CBs getting shredded on middle and flat routes and all of a sudden there's just a four man rush with a spying LB for your runner to blast by. If your CBs are locking down the three receiver sets or jamming longer routes then the LBs are playing in the box and have time to get downhill against a longer developing run play. It's why Baltimore and LA were so successful against the pass this year. Never underestimate the NFL's ability to eventually adapt and shut down a seemingly unstoppable type of offense.
