I really like this shot. The composition and the lighting is really good but you should have shot it at a much narrower aperture, the out of focus areas are detracting from the overall image. The shallow DoF doesn't really work when there's not a definite subject and no separation of the subject from the rest of the scene.

I'm not sure, I think that's out somewhere in Port Coquitlam.

Big open park at the end of Burrard Inlet, long pier and boat launch there, in Port Moody.

I recognize the view, having gone there a ton, and I grew up just across the water not far from that white house in the lower corner.

EDIT: Yep, just looked on Google Maps, you can even match up the trees in the foreground with someones Streetview photosphere.

Had an excellent day trip to Toowoomba. The sunflower fields are amazing, get there in the morning tho, they all face the rising sun.

If you drive Felton-Clifton Road you should find some easily. I don't have were we were exactly but drive that area.

I'm in awe of how you manage to take a traditional landscape of some cool rocks and make it look as awesomely lovely and bleak as your shots of soulless suburbia and abandoned industrial hellscapes, how do you do it?

Hey goons, I've been getting more serious about photography lately, so I thought I'd start posting more in these threads. Despite having nearly no land in them, this seems like the best place for these two that I took at Lake Michigan today:

The branch in the foreground and the perspective makes it look like that front row of houses are models hanging off the tree.

Clean the dust off your sensor bruh. Chicago shoreline right? You should head up to Montrose Beach or Belmont harbor for some nice skyline views.

I found me some dirt piles too.
