Oculus updated their home environment and it's pretty snazzy I don't know if there's a way to change this, but in that home space there's a bow you can shoot. I'm left handed, pick the bow up in my left hand, and when I nock an arrow it loads to the left, not right. Makes shooting it feel extremely weird. I played another round of Robo Recall, and fuuuuck that game is fun. I feel like Reaper from Overwatch with the shotguns. I screwed up and picked a laser sight for my pistols thinking it'd be a beam pointing toward my targets. Nope. Just a dumb plastic box that paints a circle where I'm aiming which is actually way worse than if I hadn't even attached the sight to begin with.

For left handed archery, you hold the bow in your right hand and draw with your left.

I think that bow is just messed up. The arrow will appear on the opposite side of where it should no matter which hand you grab the bow with. I just hold it parallel to the ground and shoot, seems to work better.

If you're going to go so far as to pay for permanent VR exclusivity, why not go further and just make it a permanent PS exclusive like Bloodborne?

IDK if they're going to bother patching the PC version or not, but expecting it to come out literally one year later is maybe a little optimistic. Also don't read the RE7 steam forums, yikes

So far my only complaint about VR in general is how it's fragmenting the PC game ecosystem which is literally exactly why I don't play games on consoles. I hate how there are three consoles with virtually zero cross platform multiplayer and I guess that's a thing with VR splits now as well? Unless I read it wrong, some game multiplayer servers don't combine Vive, Oculus, and Steam together. That's super low tier if true and I hope it doesn't become standard faire. I absolutely don't want to own several headsets just so I can enjoy good games on my single PC. Come on, son

The only time they're fragmented is if they're offered on Oculus and Steam and their multiplayer servers are run separately. Otherwise you can play all steam games naturally with a Rift and you can play all the Oculus games on a Vive through ReVive, and the microsoft ones you can do in the same way (although going Windows MR -> Steam -> Oculus is sort of a turducken scenario) Essentially you can play everything on everything

It's a bit more complicated than that. Anything on Steam can have players on different headsets playing together, but for stuff bought on other stores it's more or less how you describe. E:f,b

Holy cow the ProTube dispatch process is slow. Ordered mine on 30th of last month, when the site said there was a 3 week wait on shipment, emailed them yesterday and apparently it's shipping tomorrow. Given the poor communication and price on top of that, it will be hard to recommend anyone else bothers unless it can make Half-Life 3 come out and cure cancer, when it arrives.

I've been playing a ton of Payday 2 VR lately, it's been a blast, a much better port than I'd expected. Feels like I'm really robbing banks and cooking meth! I've also started wearing weights on my arms, and I can really feel the burn after knocking over a couple banks. It actually makes it more immersive, since it's like really trying to hold up whatever ridiculously huge gun I'm blazing away with. Now I want to add something more dynamic to my routine to get a better workout, are there any really good kung fu or fencing games you'd recommend? Something that's actually swinging around my arms instead of just trying to keep them raised. More core movement would be great, too - ducking and weaving and such. Huh, other than Knockout League, I guess. Haven't played it recently, but it's probably going to be a killer workout with weights on.

Be careful with wrist weights, they're really rough on your joints especially if you're waving your hands around without any external reaction forces
