No one is watching Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens, one of the best shows this season. It's a Durarara/Baccano-style ensemble take on hitmen, their work, and their baseball team. Its main cast are loads of fun to watch and have great chemistry together. (And some extremely cute yaoi ship teasing.) This is a show where killers-for-hire exchange business cards, have career advisors, and shop for freelance work on "shady job dot com". https://twitter.com/esselfortium/status/962128288327061504 A recent episode featured a tense showdown that concluded with a tossed bomb being deflected by swinging a katana like a baseball bat to hit it back to the guy that threw it.  Given the subject matter it does get rather gruesome at points, but most of the show has a lighthearted fun tone in spite of that.

I didn't see the PV. The animation isn't going to blow anyone away, but I haven't really noticed anything that's been detrimental. At this point it's probably the show I look forward to most every week.

The animation isn’t anything to write home about, but I’d say the show is my biggest surprise of the season for how good it actually turned out. I was extremely skeptical but the show is pretty fun and enjoyable. I don’t think it will land on anybody’s best of list for this year, but if you want a fun action show to watch it’s definitely worth it.

A little late on this but baseball rules on the basis that thanks to baseball bats being a thing, there's a scene in Casino where the Santoro brothers get the poo poo batted out of them and then get buried alive. And for that, I'm grateful that baseball exists. I'm a little ambivalent on golf, though.

He also plays a more minor role in Heaven's Feel, but as only one of the three movies based on it has come out at this point, he's not appeared in it yet.

His role in Heaven's Feel is really, really minor - he has like two scenes total - so I wouldn't really count on that for your Gilgamesh representation.
