As someone actually familiar with the plot of Umineko, watching a bunch of dudes with no prior knowledge of it get exposed to all that after its been filtered through the lens of an over-the-top fan-made fighting game is really funny.

Umineko is a lot of things, but the basic premise is that in Ep01, a rich family, the Ushiromiya's, gather on their private island for the annual family reunion, then get And Then There Were None'd. And THEN. The kids are hanging out in Purgatory, when Beatrice, a witch, shows up, and says she's the killer. Battler then calls bullshit because witches don't exist, so he and she proceed into a series of DIFFERENT murder scenarios where she tries to convince him magic exists while he tries to prove humans can do the crimes normally. Also featured: Longform treatise on the detective novel genre and familial abuse (the author is a former social worker).

Special commands are much easier. So you can throw out a fireball with forward + punch instead of quartercircle + punch, which makes specials easy for the fat thumbed among us, but means experienced fighter fans will be throwing out specials when they meant to be doing faster, simpler attacks, and getting stuffed a lot on startups.
