An interesting series, Ojisan to neko to shoujo is about a teacher during the taisho period (~1910) asked to take in a shy young woman who doesn't talk much as a servant. Though really, the story is about Kuroi, the cat, trying his best to help his hopeless humans out.

Due to batoto's closing down, I was perusing Meraki Scans' website and found this gem. (Link in image) A manga about breakfast being the most important meal of the day (with a bit of romance too ), mainly centering on Miso soup. It actually taught me a little about making kombu dashi, apparently I've always left the kombu in too long! (It does have a bit more going on than just breakfast, but it is the centerpiece of the manga.) A good read. E: upon further reading, it moves out of "daily life with Miso" and into "romance" after a volume or two. It's a very good one done by Meraki Scans, ty to Burrito for bringing it up in the Dad thread. It's about a a guy who works as a host on a daytime/morning children's show, and is uh... too accurate.
