You don't need fancy oils or other poo poo. It's just shaving. I cut myself exactly as much as I did with a multi-blade razor (about four times a year, if I had to wager a guess), the shave is just as close. It's just cheaper.

Just ordered that knockoff Merkur, thanks! Thirded that safety razors are no more work, and really a whole lot less work, than your Mach 10 Fusion Glide horseshit. The biggest difference is that you can always shave with a sharp blade instead of letting the cartridges wear down to the point that you might as well be shaving with a spoon because those cartridges are like 3/$20 instead of 100/$20 for Feather or other normal razor blades. E: shavegoons, are any of the shave brushes on Ali worth a look? I am using my grandfather's badger hair brush but it's getting kind of ratty. Sometimes if I'm feeling fancy I'll break out the nice soaps or creams and take the time to lather up because it does feel nice, but most days I just knock it out in 2 minutes in the shower, cream and soap is frankly optional.

I have one of those norelco electric things but it's slow and always leaves a few single hairs hanging out that I have to hunt down and doesn't get the back of my head very well (so I need to chase it with a regular razor anyways). It's dulling after a few years use and replacement heads cost more?!? than a new unit because reasons I found a box of mach 3 cartridges in the dumpster a few months back but they loving suck poo poo. I'll get that Q thing and give those cheapo razors a shot. I'll probably be out of cartridges by the time this thing arrives. Clear base isn't too important but she may find certain colours stain her nails, the clear may help a little. My wife went through a phase of the uv stuff but it passed, she prefers stamps etc these days.

Jumping in the safety razor user chime in party. I bought a 100 pack of Astra super platinum blades like over a year ago for $20 and have a large portion left. I use the blade for around 10 shaves.. my face hair is like metal wire... Do yourself a favor and buy a sample pack from a place that sells blades and see what works for you.. every face is different and every razor may work differently with blades. My brothers sweat by feathers but in an Astra man. No extra effort over a mach12 and hell of a lot of savings. poo poo I go to bath and body works and buy the tubes of Bigelow shave cream when they have buy 3 get 2 ($30 bucks spent) and am set for the year or more. and it feels better than the gel poo poo in a can. My shaving costs this year total is about $45 this year including a new shaving mug because i dropped mine.

I really didn't jam with Astra blades. I bought the big 100 pack five years ago or so from Amazon and they were...not good. I discovered Feather blades and they were a mile ahead in smoothness for my face, so I've stuck with them. Maybe I should try Astra again, give them a shot. Just stay the gently caress away from Wilkinson Sword. Also aw dang I was banking on Aliexpress taking 2-4 weeks and ordered something today but I just got the email stating "shipped!" Hopefully it takes a long time to get here, because I sent it to the new apartment I'm moving into on the 24th instead of the house I'm in now.

Back to the subject of automatic belts for a second. Has anybody found a belt strap that’s not stamped with some gaudy faux snake skin texture, and doesn’t have any visible stitching on the front? I’m really looking for a plain, featureless strap. But cannot find anything. And are he buckles interchange with any strap? Or should I get buckle and strap from the same seller?

I know it's not AliExpress but I've had a nightmare trying to find an electric razor that works (sensitive skin, thick hair) and the Philips One Blade works really well. It's a close shave that doesn't cut me,and the blades last ages. Worth trying out!

I'm making a load of custom amiibos for my kid cousins birthday. Making the cards in photoshop, and then I'll print and back them with old pokemon energy cards. I need something to bind the edges of the ring-binder I'm making for them, and washi tape seemed a good option. Gotta admit though, I did at one point google that exact same question.
