I cannot believe I forgot about Newspaper Spider-Man! Guess I missed bookmarking the thread when it switched over to 2018. I just read all 27 pages in one sitting. I mainlined the thread like it was an irresponsible combination of irradiated blood. It was amazing.

I love when Spider-Man totally cuts loose and ends up stunning people who thought they knew his limits. I’m really, really hoping Peter gets a moment like that in the Avengers movie. E: poo poo forgot I was in the NSM thread. Thanos will probably take him out with a brick anyhow.

it turned out that he didn't get spider powers or brain damage. instead, the transfusion gave banner peter's propensity for failure. it's not that he can't become the hulk any more, just that he can't do it when it would be useful in any way.
