MERRY YOBMAS

I am the OSHA, a bit back we had some wind that hit the power lines and tree branches and everything in the house that had a DC circuit in was fried. The clock on the stove, alarm clocks, fish tank bubbler and my friends xbox were all fried. My microwave was fried too. the blew all the timer and dc circuits in it. so I just bypassed the timer circuits and attached a switch. It was my "play microwave" Like lets heat up beer bottle to orange hot with a torch and turn it on and watch them melt.

I love covered switches.

Doesn’t the fact that that man is agitating it imply that there is bridging going on?

I wouldn’t touch that with a ten‐foot pole.

I'd swear there's another video of the same type of thing at different angle. It's a hopper and the grain coming out the bottom free-falls in the open for a bit. The birds get sucked down, fly free and go back up for another ride.

Why can't we just move the deer crossings so they won't get in the way of regular sidewalk traffic?

In Texas (at least Austin) we are starting to get these flashing yellow arrow signals, replacing the simple traditional green light (which means left turns allowed but you must yield to oncoming traffic). I guess people became too dumb to follow the "yield" part. Are these yellow arrow things common elsewhere?

Edit: the first time I saw one of these, I was fighting 30 years of driving experience which programmed me that "yellow means I can still go" and having an actual arrow means it's a protected turn and I DON"T need to yield.

I know this is from a number of pages back, but we have this at the entrance of the shopping plaza where I work. Before it replaced the old light, we would have an accident a week there.

Actually came here to post this. Should be the thread title.

Seattle has flashing yellow arrows but it’s not its own dedicated light. The regular yellow arrow just starts flashing yellow after it goes through the green>yellow>red cycle.

Appears to be an old-fashioned trip hammer.

Center right, the rotating object is connected to a water wheel, and the four nubs lift the heavy hammer. When they clear the underside of the hammer, it falls down, and because of its weight and gravity, it exerts a massive hammer strike, used to help smith steel.

You can find smaller, electric powered versions in modern manufacturers. :eng101:
