I've got a Swiss Gear backpack that's held up decently. I carry my laptop home every work night plus my general junk with more than enough room to spare. I think it was kinda cheap too.

I've had two people tell me in the last week 'you must just be like really smart', to which I laugh and tell them I don't actually know anything except Google. Which is true, I really don't know what I'm doing and am flying by the seat of my pants

Have my review tomorrow where I'll ask for and hopefully get a $20k raise, despite planning on applying for new jobs in four months anyways. I've been promised a $13k raise, but I've spent the last three months interviewing for new techs and engineers for my team and holy gently caress its eye opening in how much I'm underpaid.

As a consultant who’s working with a different customer every month I usually make it a note go out for drinks with the actual techs. I’ve learned amount of compensation variance from one company to another is shocking especially for the same role.
