i thought machine head were long split up until i saw that rob flynn was bashing poor old phil for his drunken idiocy. i'm willing to bet the new machine head is worse than whatever phil is farting out nowadays, though.

The new stuff is fine but it's basically fenriz tributing all his favourite bands from the 80s, the important material is the black metal albums from the 90s. A Blaze in the Northern sky through Panzerfaust is all essential and really good. Their first album is also cool but it's death metal. Some people like some of the stuff after Panzerfaust too, but it's not absolutely classic like those four albums are.

I guess what i'm saying is that i wouldn't take that bet.

I don’t even care that I hit new post instead of edit. Weird death metal that is actually super heavy, has awesome solos, and lyrics about creepy slug poo poo. THIS IS ALL I ASK FOR e: wait I guess I did edit. I said something about this being my first listen to Slugdge. Always ignored them because I thought the name was dumb. I went back and am listening to The Cosmic Cornucopia. I guess this is a comp of their other albums? The first song had a Meshuggah groove. gently caress yeah this band. Welp, just ponied up $163 each (lol) to go see Metallica with the wife in December (lol). I've seen them like 5 times by now and she's never seen em. Old as dirt, but still put on a good show, despite James' ever-dwindling voice.

Do people still (rightfully) make fun of him for the couch cutting performance? Does 1349 go into the studio with the intention to make the most boring norsecore possible? Does he ever sign copies of the black metal coffee table book "To my biggest fan, love Frost"?
