How intense is friendly fire in this new one? In VT1 it was like 2 points of damage out of a (Nightmare mode) health bar of 150 so it barely mattered.

This is from beta but imo it's still bombs you really have to watch out for.

I did this and could have stopped it, but nothing in nature ever follows a gaussian curve. Sure, they'll tell you that it does. They say that every five minutes someone dies in a car accident, but how often are there seven hundred and sixty one armless and legless corpses in one hangar?
I've been informed that you still can't have more than one person as the same character, despite the characters having classes that would distinguish them from one another.

There's always that opportunity come heroic deeds which seem like they are going to serve like Left 4 Dead 2 mutators. I bet they get weird with that poo poo "Beat this mission with 4 bright wizards" sounds like it could lead to some fun antics.

Man, I'm loving the halberd. It's got some serious range, as it drat well should. Still have to get a hang of block-cancelling and timing heavy cleaves for when you're balls deep in a mob though.

I had a really great halberd and mace/shield combo for Kruber in the last beta and I miss them :smith:

that’d ruin the banter so I’m honestly fine with the way things are; as funny as it’d be from a gameplay perspective

I feel like Kruber's shotgun is way better off than it was in 1, given that even the baby starting shotgun was blowing apart whole lines of men.

How do you avoid taking damage from a boss when it's up in your face? perfectly timed dodges and blocks?

Stack crit on your other trinkets and weapons. When you get to the right level (20?) get the talent that clears all heat when you use your active skill. Heat management is now barely a thing.

If it's Roger, whenever you see both hands go up, dodge back. Not just walking, the actual dodge.

Definitely. I actually quite like it now, where in VT1 it was just a gimmick I tried to make work. I mostly use it to dunk unarmored specials, but I can do it a comfortable range unlike in VT1 where I had to place the gun into the mouth of the target.

The marksman having no range damage fall off is what really makes it work. You dunk elites halfway across the map with it and it's awesome.

in case yall were wondering the lumberjack is way better than foot knight

i doubt this is a surprise to anyone but i wanted to make sure we were clear on this

the main thing the foot knight has over the lumberjack is that when you use your active kruber will sometimes yell 'SIR KRUBER! HAHAHAHAHAHA!'

I mean, It's still fun to stack cooldown reduction and charge around the place constantly shouting SIR KRUBER like he would forget if he didn't remind himself.

I played with a knight kruber the other day that did just that and it was hillarious. He was literally charging every 5 seconds or so. It was the best thing.

Does not require preheating
The elf 2H-sword is real fun to use. Wide sweeping strikes and a thrust charge attack that can headshot. It's noticeably slower than the glaive, but with some attackspeed it cuts up hordes real good.

Do people have something against the Bright Witch for some reason? She is the odd one out in 90% of the "class is picked, pick another".

Elf is always a pick and dwarf (my favorite) is a good chance, but BW is always free.

Yeah, that's what I'm aiming for. Combined with the Pyromancer passive that increases crit based on overheat level, this thing charges ability fast.
