I'm a sucker for sappy Showa-era potboilers so that long Ginza Madam murder mystery was completely up my alley, and surprisingly pretty much exactly what those movies are like. I thought it was going to mock Detective Conan at first Also I really liked the second opening with the sound fx and such.

The murder room's number can be read as murder in Japanese. The cactus short got lost in translation. Popuko is slacking off (saboru), which shares its first two syllables with cactus (saboten). It was never the god of slacking off to begin with.
