if i could trade half my remaining lifespan for losing half my weight i'd take it in a heartbeat full stop wonder if there's a surgery that can do that

if u got cash lipo people can take a lot but its unlikely to be covered by insurance. also you generally cant have more than 10-20 pounds removed at once before its too dangerous, which is the sort of reason that surgeries that move body fat around can only promise so much in one go.

If it doesn't come to me through instant intuition it's not getting solved.

I had it done in November last year and I'd say I'm fully healed up now, though it'll still gradually settle down over several more months. The worst was the first month of recovery where you have to wear a compression garment the whole time. It was pretty painful doing stuff the first few days but manageable after that. Since the procedure is removing fat from the lower skin layer, it effectively creates a whole section of upper skin that needs to readhere to the muscle underneath. You may need someone to help you out for the first few days, or do like I did, stock up on easy to prepare food and stuff. Get spare shapewear covering the same region as the medical garment you get, so that you can wash one and wear the other. Get a nubbly roller massage thing to roll over the affected areas and help smooth out lumps. I took two weeks off before heading back to my desk job. Seemed okay. Oh yeah since you're wearing the garment which is basically another layer of spandex, try schedule it for a cooler time of the year and not say summer like I did D:

You must think in a very abstract way. i think in words (constantly talking to myself), but its a huge problem for trying to describe people for example, because i can RECOGNIZE faces when i see them but i can't call them to mind and then describe them i just have access to whatever i happened to distinctly 'write down' about it in my head. so all i could say about my own face without actually looking in a mirror and taking mental notes is that i have hazel eyes and dyed hair that's pink and blonde b/c the color's been washing out and i got it dyed months ago i'm capable of manipulating simple 3d objects in physical space in my head but its a pain in the rear end and i basically have to math it out, rather than just DOING it like most people can

A couple concepts just sort of *pop* to the end state of synthesis. I could tell you every step of logic along the way, but I don’t actually think it. Unrelated to anything but I need to share: I just scared the hell out of myself. I had tons of energy getting home from work so I started doing a bunch of stuff I’d been putting off. Then as I’m shoveling laundry in the dryer I get super dizzy and stumble from the laundry room to the common room where I flop on a couch. A lady there asked if I was okay, got me a cup of water, and rode the elevator up to my apartment to make sure I got in okay

If it's anything like the lipo I had during my boob job it really is the first week thats horrible. After that yeah you have to restrict yourself for healing purposes but it's not agonizing anymore. I'll have a lot of lipo for my next surgery in 2ish months so I can report more then. That said, if your reaction is more to the potential pain than the potential result then a surgery is probably not for you. The risk and inconvenience just ain't worth it if it's not something that has you feeling like a kid before Christmas just thinking about it.

i learned that with my forehead/brow surgery, cause it wasnt life changing or anything it just made me feel better. it was a pretty minor one though so maybe its just the scope of it surgery isnt gonna fix my problems tho and i dont think im gonna get much more of it if at all

Yup, the first few weeks were the part that sucked the most, and thankfully you can just sleep through a lot of it. Loaded up my phone and pad with games and tore through a few books. The boost to my confidence from my improved appearance is worth that bit of initial discomfort.

my confidence is basically inversely proportional to my weight so just surgery isnt enough, i gotta diet heavily

this is going to sound dumb but for me posture can make a difference. sometimes when working i cross my legs, straighten up my head and back, and pull my shoulders back. at that point sometimes it's like a switch flips and I have a sudden mental shift into feeling like I'm a stereotypical early 1900s lady typist. where things are really strange is most of the time that shift does not happen, but in either case I still feel like it happening/not happening is right. always has. still trying to figure it out and it was a bit of a surprise to find out that other people don't get that sort of thing or that it would arrive as an intensely distressing feeling.

I should clarify that I meant text instances, my deadname is still on old episodes I did in the audio Me and the guy that runs it talked about it and agreed that it's a pain in the rear end to re-record over a dozen bumpers, re-edit them into the episodes and upload them again. I might record an intro for those episodes about me going by an old name Still though, after telling the guy my new name the first thing he did was go back and switch stuff out, I didn't even have to ask

I have off of work Monday and Tuesday because of a minor health crisis. I'm seeing a specialist Tuesday about some growths and inflammation on my kidney. I'm hoping it's extra kidney or something so I can start a kidney charity. until then supposed to chill out and drink lots of water. It hurts pretty bad but I'm quite snuggled down with YouTube and reading.
