That or they're just straight up animating it and editing it in after the fact.

Alright that makes a lot more sense. I don't know much about AI but I thought we weren't at a point where they could do something as complex as play and complete anything beyond simple games.

Man every lets play of Dragonball Z fighters makes me want to play it but I don't like those kinds of fighting games. Smash is the only real fighting game I like, and it doesn't play like other fighters where the battlefield is just a small area with no hazards and you do various button combos to do attacks. And I mean more complicated than hitting a direction and hitting a single button like Smash does it. I'm awful at doing the button combos in fighting games. Is DBZ Fighters accessible at all to a player like me

Every button in dbz does a decentish combo if you just push it over and over again so yeah its casual friendly but its also real deep and you can do really long strings of damage if you get into it so if you arent gonna practice and try to improve you may as well wait until its cheap and you have a party at your house and just wanna mash buttons

Combo execution and stuff is super easy compared to a lot of other games, but some of the other layers on top of that are more complicated. Expect to have to practice to be able to pull off cool poo poo consistently

I mean, Watson can play Jeopardy, which is damned impressive. But that's mostly just keywords and databases. We can make software to do pretty complex stuff but we have to design it to do the complex stuff. Machine learning can find optimal variables by playing with controls over time, but yeah... not there yet.
