It's only an avatar if the Cubs get swept.
Trashbag is the only one who’s stuck by us the entire time. :colbert:

That being said, I’m curious about Kazuki or Hiroshi.

Just get Aya's done and over with so we can safely dunk/ignore her for the rest of the LP

It's funny, I reread the first couple of updates and Aya's so nice before we get to know her! She really goes out of her way to welcome the poor convalescent kid who doesn't have any friends. It makes me wonder, what went so wrong with her?

Let's just get Aya out of the way.

Those last 3 updates were all from the one recording like 3 months ago. It's been a while since I actually played this game.

Considering our last 2 loops, I thought our stats were way better. Might need to invest in them again.

blah blah blah, aya quiz

So last time, we knew the magazine and we knew the page was missing. We didn't know it was her sister who took it though.

: Did your little sister take it?

There's never a point in the game where XP stops being nice. Last time I played this game, I didn't max all my stats.

: Just a hunch.

: And she can't keep her hands out of my stuff. I'm going to have to show her... I'll hide something of hers when I get home, heh heh.

And from here, we're back to normal. We're on loop 4, you've seen this enough. Skipping.

: Wow, this place is beautiful.

: I bet Kiku and Yui are here somewhere...

: Hello, Aya. Er... do I know you?

: This is Lorde Goon, the kid who's been out for three-and-a-half weeks. This is my good friend, Matsumoto Kiku... and Arakawa Yui...

: It's nice to meet you both.

: Nice to meet you.

: Hello.

: So you guys take care of this garden? That's really neat.

: Yes, the horticultural club has grown everything here.

: We sure have a lot of plants now, I suppose.

Not sure if I picked the right option here, but it'll do for now.

: Really? The horticulture club grew everything here?

: It all started from an empty plot of land, too.

: They were going to build something on it, weren't they?

: Yes, a storage shed. But some past students thought it would be nice if there was a greenhouse and garden instead...

: Yeah, this is much better!

: That's great.

: Thank you.

: The horticulture club really made this place beautiful.

oh no

: Oh!

: Aya! You're spraying water everywhere!

: How do I turn it off!

: I'm not sure...

: Heh... sorry...

: Too much water for the flowers...

Poor flowers. By the way, Yui looks like she has heterochromia.

: Heh... maybe we should get out of here, Lorde... Let's go watch the boys play basketball in the gym.

: Watch? I wonder if we can join their game.

: Yes, it's good exercise.

: The school has a few sports clubs, and there is a also a weight room where people can work out. You look like you could use some exercise, especially after that dreadful illness... But you should not push yourself too hard at first, or you might get sick again.

: Okay, thanks for the advice.

: Come ON, Lorde, or everyone will have left by the time we get there.

: Okay, okay. It was nice meeting you both.

: Nice to meet you, too.

Good to see we're finally into an alternate set of meeting events. It's been ages since I've seen that event.

Lit drains our mental stamina quite a bit so we're just spending our left over physical stamina on working out. Mean we're probably going to have a higher Sport stat than Lit, honestly.

: Need help, Rena?

: Oh! Yes, thanks! How'd you know my name?

Should've said psychic powers.

: Oh, how exciting! Let me try on you....

wait what

: How did you do that?

: Before school started I was checking for any bad omens, and your name came up!

: What? Is something bad going to happen to me?

: Teehee, not necessarily. It could have just been your sickness, or maybe something that comes up in the future. Who knows! I'll need to bring this up at the next paranormal club meeting.

: There is a paranormal club here?

: I see...

If only the game let us join the paranormal club...

: There is supernatural activity going on all around us! It's just that most people aren't sensitive enough to it. Paranormal studies is a legitimate science, Lorde. I hope to get a degree in it someday.

: I see...

: Now where did my marble run off to...

: Marble?

: Yeah, it was this large blue marble, about as wide as two yen pieces...

: Don't worry. I'll help you find it.

: It's my fault... I was carrying too much stuff and it must've slipped out of my fingers...

: So what's so special about this marbles?

: Well, when I found it, it was pouring outside. When I picked it up, the rain seemed to subside and the sun came out not too long after that. So I figured it had to be good!

: So it's a good luck charm?

: Who knows? It's also pretty, so I like to keep it around, even if it just takes up space.

: I bet it's around here somewhere...

The best I have for capturing screen shaking is catching the game while there's some black on the screen at the edges.

I could also do some gifs but that sounds like even more effort.

: Are you okay?

: Oh... I think I found your marble...

: Unfortunately you had to trip on it to find it... maybe it's a bad luck charm.

: No, it's alright. What a pretty color.

: Thank you so much for helping me! I owe you one!

: No problem!

: Huh?

: I know...

: WHAT!? How do you- Eh, whatever. Just come with me.

: ...

Subtle, man.

: Oh, hey there, Kiku.

: ...

: What's going on?

: Nothing. Hmm... who is this?

: Oh, this is...

: Lorde. Hello Kiku, how are you today?

: I am doing just fine, Lorde. Thank you for asking. How are you?

: I'm doing fine as well.

: .....

: What is the matter, Hiroshi? You are being unusually quiet. But maybe I should not be complaining.

: Er, it's nothing.

: No, it wasn't like that...

: Then how was it?

: I have met Hiroshi already. We're good friends.

: Oh, really...

: Ha, see!

: Only because you shamelessly parade your name all over the school. Like you are doing now.

: You're just jealous.

: ...

: You know, you truly are shameless sometimes, Hiroshi.

: ME? Shameless?

: If you want to talk, you could just say hi to me.

: Don't flatter yourself!

: Oh, I am not.

: Er...

: Though you knew that, right, since you two are already good friends and all.

: Hey, there's no need for sarcasm...

: Nice to meet you.

Goon, you gave it away!

: Well, I have more important things to do than waste my time on you, Hiroshi. See you around, Lorde.

: ...

: Bye, Kiku!

: Grr, she makes me so mad sometimes.

: Man, talk about hard to get...

: Forget her. There are plenty of other girls who adore me. It's her loss...

: She has a great sense of humor.

That she does.

: Don't even think about it, Lorde.

: But you just said-

: Listen, if you want to survive in this school you'll listen to me, alright?

pfft

: Geez, alright...

: Anyway, I'll see you around.

Man, Kiku's great. So is Hiroshi, although some of his beats are off.

Game: As you get closer, you hear the sound of someone playing the piano inside the classroom.

That must be the music room.

: ...

: Hello Yui, what are you doing here?

: Oh!

: Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you!

: Yui?

: I am sorry... I am so sorry...

: Oh hey, are you a friend of Yui's?

: Oh, I just met her the other day.

: I'm Avery Alice. It's a pleasure to meet you!

: Nice to meet you too.

: What are you doing out here anyway, Yui?

: I thought... the music was really nice. I stopped to listen... I did not mean to disturb you

: Oh, it's no problem, really! I always like an audience! Hmm, are you "Lorde" as in "Lorde" who was out sick for the past three-and-a-half weeks?

: Yes, that was me.

: I see. I heard all about that. It's all over the school. That must've been some sickness. Well, it's nice to finally meet you in person.

: What were you playing just now? It sounded good.

: It's this great new jazz piece I've been learning. But it's not perfect yet.

Aside from that one scene in the park, we haven't spoken too much to Yui, have we?

: It seemed... cheerful...

: Do you play a lot of jazz, Alice?

: Yes, I do. Every type of music is great, but jazz is really my passion. It's the only type of music that has a really raw fire in it.

: Raw... fire?

: Hmm, well a lot of jazz is improvised, which means it really has to come from inside of you. You can't be a great jazz musician unless you know how to pull the blues out of your heart or the swing from your soul!

: That sounds nice... but also a little scary...

: So are you planning to perform here sometime?

: I haven't really thought about it. I sing and play the violin as well, so I'm sure I'll be performing sometime!

: I think... people would like it.

: It could be a charity event.

This feels like one of the options you get from foreknowledge.

: Hey, that would be really cool!

: You... could really raise a lot.

: I think so too! Thanks for the great idea. I'll bring it up at the next student council meeting!

: Student council meeting?

: Yep, I was one of the people chosen to represent our class this year. It's been cutting a bit into my free time... but I don't mind that badly.

Weird to dump the title of class pres on the foreign transfer of all people.

: Maybe we can go to a karaoke parlor sometime?

: Oh, I'd love to do that! I've not been able to go a lot lately. All my student council work has backlogged me just a little. Don't worry though. It just means one or two less trips to Karaoke World every few weeks. It's a lot of fun, besides.

: Sounds great.

be glad that you get to skip reading this next time we get this event

: It's been pretty great so far! If you think of any events you'd like us to do this year, you can tell me!

: Okay, sure.

: Well, I need to get back to practice. That piece still needs a lot more work if I'm going to play it in front of a big audience.

: Okay.

Sheesh, Alice was super talkative there. Wish we'd get some info about Yui.

Thursday, May 31

: Naoko?

: Hmm... a little more pepper next time...

: What's that delicious smell?!

: Oh, I brought in some spicy tuna balls today.

: Whoa! Are there any left?!

: Grr, Kiku! She'll have to give me part of her lunch to make up for this...

: Oh! Hello, deaer. Have we met? I'm Ogawa Naoko.

: Oh! This is Lorde Goon. He's finally come to school after being sick for three-and-a-half weeks!

: Hello.

: Naoko's the best chef in the whole school.

: Heehee, I'm not that great. It's just a hobby.

: Don't listen to her, Lorde. She's just being modest. You should see some of the cakes she's made. They're like works of art.

: Oh, Aya...

: Sounds good. What style of food do you enjoy the most?

Feigning interest in something is a good way to keep a conversation going, yeah?

: Oh wow, that's really interesting.

: I love desserts!

I actually like spicy food way more, but this is the response the game wants.

: Heehee, I hope I never meet anyboy who DOESN'T like desserts!

: Nothing like sweet cream and delicious pastries...

: Blech, don't talk about desserts! My mom doesn't keep any in the house because of stupid little siblings...

: Aww, well maybe I'll make you both something good, then!

: Wow, thanks!

: Yes, that sounds great.

: Heehee, I feel so inspired now... I feel like cooking a feast!

Is Kazuki going to have to eat all of it?

: Ooh, make sure I'm invited!

: Me too!

: Heehee, of course. Ah, look at the time! I have to run. It was nice meeting you, Lorde!

Alright, so I think that's pretty much everyone now?

We don't get into the swim club, eh, whatever.

Bah, raising our Lit's going to take a while...

Well, we had to do a Lit run at some point. Maybe we'll even get the upgraded training this run.

We've finished two runs, I'm willing to give Fashion another shot.

oh oops

Let's just pretend that never happened.

It wouldn't be a huge problem but better safe than sorry.

Satsuko comes to visit our school, nothing new there.

We get a B in Lit, C in the rest. That's alright for now, we'll still want to get up to an A for Lit.

I get Hiroshi to save Yui because I completely forgot that we could just yell at her and it would work. Whoops.

Tuesday, July 18

We've seen this event but this time, we get a skip!

Now if only every other scene had a skip too.

I wonder if the Shira Oka devs really found this scene so irritating. There's a lot of mandatory chains which could've used a "No, I don't want do any of this chain" more.

Wednesday, July 19

: Oh, hey Naoko.

: Sure, what's up?

: Oh dear, this is an odd request...

: You don't want to help her?

: Oh dear, unfortunately I'm too busy with the cooking club to help out. My brother said she doesn't need someone who's technically inclined, just someone who's willing to help out with odds and ends.

: I see.

: I've asked around a bit too, but nobody else wants to spend their summer vacation doing this... So please don't worry about it, dear, if you're also not interested...

I don't have an option to refuse.

: Well, what is she working on?

: Oh dear, I'm afraid I'm not sure... Her projects are always a little... weird... But I assure you, no harm will come to you! Hehe.

: Great...

: So if you could, please meet her next Sunday? I know your help will be greatly appreciated! And who knows, you might learn a thing or two!

: Well...

I didn't even finish talking yet...

Game: You give Naoko your phone number.

: Thanks! You'll have a great time! Remember, don't forget to take a break every few hours!

Well, at least you guys haven't seen this before.

Thursday, July 20

: I am?

: Oh, yes. It's so obvious, everyone can see it.

: Alright. Thank you, I'll do that.

I think he's nicer about telling us we suck at Sports than Kiku yelling at us about Lit.

Seen this, we side with Yui because she's not Aya.

Sunday, July 24

: Hey, you!

: Me?

: I'm glad you stopped by. There's something I need to tell you!

: Huh, keyboard? What game?

Huh. I think this is the first time this has been mentioned this LP. I know you can press Space to move the textbox off screen and Enter to proceed.

: You can use the plus and minus keys to make the master volume louder and softer if you want to.

Er, well, it's not terrible? Except for the credits song, that song is loving awful.

: Press the space bar or right-click on the mouse to hide the UI. You know, the text box and stuff. You can also quit from anywhere by pressing the escape key.

: Text box? UI? Escape key?

: Hey, who's giving the instructions here, huh?!

: Me?

: Grr, yes you! Who else would I be talking to?!

: No, I'm not.

Boom.

: Oh, you're right! I was just kidding. I always wished I had a worker to say "You're late!" all meanly to! But you ruined it!

: Anyway! You're going to be my helper for this project. I'm Suzu, by the way.

: What are we making?

: Oh, I can't tell you.

: Why not?

: I don't trust you yet.

: Did I do something wrong?

: No, it's just that you've never been my assistant in a project like this before, so I can't go and give everything away! Who knows, you might steal all my ideas and sell them!

: Who would do that...?

: Oh, you never know. You have to be careful.

: Alright...

: Well, I should at least let you know a tiny bit about how I do things... I like to go around town and collect a bunch of things. Things that other people have no use for. Then, I just fit them together and see what happens.

: So you don't know what you're making until it's all done...?

: Yup! It's always a surprise!

: Oh, I wouldn't say that... But that's enough information! You're going to come stuff-gathering with me, okay? Let's come back here in a week or so and we'll go.

: Okay...

I still don't get it.

: Great! I'll give you a call when the time comes.

Well, we got some XP from that at least.

We hang out with Alice at the beach since we're already there.

Tuesday, August 2

: Hey, Suzu.

: Meet me at Ikegawa right now! I want to go and gather materials for our project!

: Right now?

: Yes, right now! Don't be late. Okay?

Game: You get yourself ready and head out to meet Suzu. You find Suzu waiting for you right outside of Ikegawa Motors.

: So, what are we doing?

: We're going out!

: Out where?

Got it!

...What do you mean, come back to Earth?

: Just around town, silly! How else are we supposed to gather materials?

: Right...

Game: You begin to wander around town with Suzu.

: This looks good!

: What looks good?

: Those old refrigerator trays, of course...

: Oh...

: Here, let me take one.

: Oh, thanks!

: Sure...

: Hmm, what else is around here...

: What are you going to use them for?

: Well, I don't have all the details worked out yet... Oh, milk bottles!

Game: Suzu picks through somebody's garbage and retrieves a few empty milk bottles.

: Oh right, you figure it out when it's all done...

: Oh look, some trash can lids!

: Trash can lids...?

: Yeah!

: Why not?

: Don't they belong to the owner of this house?

: I don't know about that...

: Well, they wouldn't miss them, anyway. The can is the important part.

: The lid keeps animals out.

A lot of birds will just throw trash everywhere if you leave a bin open.

: *sigh* Fine, I'll only take one.

: Alright...

: Hmm, we're doing well so far...

: Trash can lids and refridgerator trays...

: Yeah?

: Whatever you're making must be interesting.

: Oh, I haven't filled you in yet? I'm making a detector!

: A detector...?

: A detector!

: How does that work, then?

: It's like I told you last week. Whenever I make something, first I collect stuff. Then, I try to put it together in interesting ways...

: You piece it together...

: Yeah! So whatever comes out at the end is bound to do something. I'm just secretly hoping it will be some kind of cool detector!

: I see...

: Hmm, I always forget to bring a wagon with me...

: That might help...

: We have some pretty big things...

: Steam Hill...?

Huh, I don't think we've been there yet. Surprising since it does come up a fair bit.

: Yeah! Don't you know what that is?

: No...

: It's the big hill with the steam geyser, of course! Anyway, I'll explain when we get there. We already have enough stuff, so we should turn back for the day. We'll go to the hill sometime soon. I'll let you know when I'm ready.

Great. Obon.

Monday, August 8

: Lorde! Hey, good news!

: What's that?

: I'm ready to go to Steam Hill. Meet me there in a few minutes, okay?

: Alright.

: Great, see you then!

Game: You leave home and head for Steam Hill, wondering what Suzu has in store for you.

: So this has been here the whole time...?

: It sure has! Let me tell you the history of the place. It's so mysterious.

: Mysterious?

: Yes! This hill has been here for as long as Shira Oka's history has been recorded, but it doesn't seem to be a natural geyser or hot spring.

: What could it be, then?

: Nobody knows! That's why it's a mystery, silly!

: I see...

: This site is considered to be a sacred spot, so the area surrounding the steam hole has not been disturbed that much out of respect. Scientist have concluded, however, that there is no known reason for steam to be rising out of the ground like this. Anyway, let's get down to business!

: What are we going to do?

: Teehee...

Game: Suzu pulls out the old milk bottles she collected on your scavenger hunt the other day.

: Tada!

: The milk bottles?

: I wonder if the steam on this hill has any special properties. I want to use it to power our detector!

: You're making it steam powered...?

: Isn't that really inefficient?

: Hmm, maybe! But it's like I told you before, I like to piece seemingly incompatible things together in order to make something unique and extraordinary! Trust me, I've never gone wrong before!

: Alright...

: You don't sound convinced. It's okay if you don't have the same passion for steam as I do...

With all the club chat and Goon getting things, I wonder how a modern Tokimeki made in the west would be like.

: ...

: I know, it's overwhelming. Well, let's get started.

: How are we going to collect the steam...?

: In the milk bottles, of course!

Game: She drags out what looks like a very large vacuum from behind a tree.

Where did that come from?!

: Okay, let's just attach this here... and this here... okay! I'm going to go up to the steam spout, and you press the on button when I say go, okay? Okay... go!

Game: You look down and see that there are two buttons on the machine.

Oh. This.

: Suzu, there are two buttons!

We pressed the yellow button. Don't know if it's the right button but we're about to find out.

: Okay, great! You can turn it off now! I collected two bottles of steam. I'm sure we can do something with this!

: Great.

Well, that worked out.

: Alright, I think that's all for today. Now that we have the groundwork done, we can start building!

: We can?

Eh, we're not going for Suzu or Kazuki... Might be better to just skip this.

: We'll meet up again on Steam Hill on September 2nd. That's just a few days before school starts up again for you.

I don't think we have much time left until the deadline.

A bit over 2 weeks. That event might have more XP but if it doesn't it's a waste of time...

Well, I'll figure out what to do later.

Shira Oka has some good ideas that despreately needed an editing pass and a better set of game mechanics behind it all.

e: I honestly don't mind seeing other characters when you're angling for someone else's route, since a lot of VNs act like everyone outside your route ceases to exist(or punishes you for interacting with them if they're available) once you pick one. But it doesn't jive very well with being expected to use up time for those events that you could be using for the all-important stat grind.

We're going well on the Lit front, what else did we have to do...?

Ugh, Obon.

Ah right, helping Suzu with the sensor.

tragic

Better.

If we failed to get into the swim team once, we're probably not getting in for the rest of the reset. You get ahead on your Sports then but if you don't, it's just a lot of effort to get back into the team.

Friday, September 2

: What do you hope to find?

: I don't know! Let's just fire it up, shall we?

Game: Suzu pulls a cord on the machine to start it up.

: It sounds like it's working...

: Alright...

Game: You begin to walk around with Suzu, but the detector does not seem to react to anything.

: Hmm...

: Is there anywhere in particular you want to check?

: Oh, I thought we would walk around town and see what happens.

: I see...

On my first run of the game, this was my initial impression of Suzu. I might just be humorless but I found Suzu a bit too manic pixie girl.

: Oh, kitty!

: Hey, it likes the cat.

: Hmm, why would that be...

: I wonder why the cat sets it off...

: Hmm, I'm not sure either why this kitty would set off the detector. Let's keep going and see what else we come across, hmm?

: Alright...

: Kirin Park is right over there, so let's go see what we can find.

We'll see you again, cat.

: Hmm...

: Well, I guess it's not a metal detector, so...

: Why do you say that?

Yep, this is an option that only appears once you've done Suzu's ending. I think there's another option earlier in this event that requires another ending to see it.

: Er, wouldn't it have gone off by now...?

: Oh, that's true... Well, let's look around.

: Maybe we can find something buried in the sand.

: That's what I've been hoping for! Hey, it looks like it's starting to pick something up...

:What? From where?

: Over there by the swings!

: The swings...?

: There's a girl there too!

: Oh, that's Yui. She goes to my school.

: Whoa, it's beeping for this girl! Are you Yui?

: Um... yes. What... what is... that thing?

: It's a detector, Yui.

: A detector...? For... what?

: Hmm, first a cat, and now her...

: Maybe it picks up living things?

Aha.So close, yet so far.

: Silly, then it would have gotten you!

: Oh, yeah...

: Oh... I am... weird?

Who changes their clothing based on seasons in Shira Oka?

: And a scarf too? Won't you overheat?

: Oh, well, I... no...

: Hey Yui, do you want to come investigate with us?

: Oh, no... no, thank you... I must... go...

: Okay, have fun!

: Bye, Yui.

One of these updates, I'm going to make a word to ellipsis count for Yui. She uses them way too much.

: Hey, that reminds me!

: Wait! Yui, do you know anything about Steam Hill?

Game: You quickly catch Yui before she gets away so you can ask her about Steam Hill.

: Steam Hill... it is... very old... I think... it will be hard to reveal... its secrets...

: Why?

I can get behind that.

: Interesting. Thanks, Yui! Come on, Lorde we can't waste anymore time!

: Okay...

: Oh boy, if we're the ones who bust the Steam Hill mystery...

: What could be under there..?

: I don't know... and we're not allowed to dig here...

: Oh, right...

: Aah... I'm so frustrated! This stupid thing must be broken.

: Why do you say that?

: Well... I did secretly have a more developed plan...

: Lost socks...?

: Yeah! I could have been famous if it worked, but it doesn't...

: Then why did we run around to all of these other places?

: Well, it was fun...

: Yeah, it was great!

: But what can we make of the results?

: Yui, the cat, the hill...

: I don't really see a correlation...

: *sigh* Oh well... I guess it wasn't a complete waste...

: You think so?

: Sure, it was fun to hang out with you! I'm glad someone else enjoys going dumpster-diving, especially during summer vacation!

Bleh. Glad that's done.

School started up again. And yes, that's us.

Monday, September 5

: It's your first day of high school and I find you two here by yourselves? You're never going to make any friends this way, Kazuki.

: Leave me alone, sis!

: We just wanted to see what kind of stuff they had. I'm sure we'll be here a lot!

: Hello, Naoko.

: Oh, Lorde! I'm glad you're here. This is my little brother, Kazuki, and his friend Inoue Suzu. It's their first day of high school!

: In the middle of the year?

Everything from the start of the scene to this point, with the exception of Goon's lines has been voiced. Odd to hear so much of it.

: That's right.

: Oh, silly me! How could I forget?

: Kazuki and I were so bored in our classes in middle school, they let us start high school half a year early!

: Yes, they're quite brilliant! I'm so proud of my little brother!

: Naoko!

: Aww, of course I am, Suzu!

: Yay!

: I see...

: It's nice to meet you.

: Yay! A new friend!

: Naoko!

: This shop isn't stupid...

: Maybe you can introduce him to some other people? He's stubborn and won't listen to me...

: Sure, I wouldn't mind showing him around.

Sorry, Minion #2, but we like Naoko more this run.

: Thanks! Well I have to get going now. I'll see you later, Kazuki. Don't be afraid to find me if you get lost or need help with anything, okay?

: Fine, whatever, now can you leave me alone?!

: I'm going, I'm going! Hehe, bye Lorde!

: I'm sure she just wants to look out for you.

: I don't need looking out for.

: I'm a big girl! And you're a big boy, right?

um

Cheers, mate.

: So you guys are into machinery?

: Yup!

: We work at the motorcycle shop in town, Ikegawa Motors, after school...

: Right now we're working on some vacuum-powered hovercrafts! Unfortunately, right now they only spin around like crazy instead of hover...

: That sounds really cool.

: Maybe I'll just them into really big salad spinners... they would probably be more useful that way.

: Yes, I would be interested to see what new inventions you two come up with.

I'm assuming I'm getting dragged into their events whether I say yes or no here.

: Heh, well Suzu is really the inventor. I'm more of a workhorse, myself.

: Yep. I figure out what we need to do, and he helps me do it. He's better at fixing things than I am.

: Sounds like you two make a good team.

: We sure do.

: Oh? What kind of things do you invent? Other than spinning hovercrafts...

: Really amazing things! I just finished up my automated cat food thrower and a water-powered toothbrush converter.

: Toothbrush converter?

: Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to turn them back, yet...

: Oh...

: If you're interested in this kind of stuff, you should drop by the bike shop sometime.

: Yeah! Check out the cool hot rod Kazuki's working on!

: Wow, really? A hot rod?

Now there's a term I feel like I haven't heard in forever.

: Well, it's really the owner's project, but he lets me help out sometimes.

: Oh, that's still cool.

: I agree. I really love figuring out how things work. I just wish my sister didn't think it was a waste of time.

: Hmm, well I wouldn't worry about that too much.

: Don't worry, you'll meet other people who share your interests.

: Really? Like who?

: I'll introduce you to Hiroshi sometime. I bet he would be interested.

That sounds about right...

Hiroshi owns but dunking on him owns more so.

: Oh, that guy is always making fun of Kazuki!

: Yeah, and Naoko always takes his side when I tell her! I don't want anything to do with him.

: One time he filled Kazuki's work pants with paint. Kazuki didn't realize it until he tried to take them off later on and they were stuck to him!

Wait, how do you know that last bit...?

: SUZU!

: Hmm, well sometimes he isn't that bad of a guy.

: Well, we'll see...

: Oh, we'd better get going.

: Yeah, if I'm late to my first class I'll never hear the end of it from Naoko...

: Okay, hope you guys have a good first day.

: Thanks!

: Bye!

I think that's the last Kazuki/Suzu introduction now. Gonna have make a sheet tracking what introductions we've seen, I think. It's getting to be a pain to track them all down in my old updates.

This pops up, we chat with Kasumi about something.

Culture festival pops up, I thought we had the perk that let us skip half of it but I guess not. Oh well, no biggie.

Monday, September 19

We've seen the first part, they're just talking about Suzu's favorite song.

: That's cool. Hey Suzu, could I talk to you a minute?

: Um, okay. What's up?

: Could you make me a violin bridge?

: Huh? Why?

: Just beacause. Can you make one for me?

: Well... Sure, I don't see why not. It could be fun.

And that's the start of a new short event chain.

Saturday, September 24

: Lorde, meet me at the school machine shop. I have a surprise! Bye!

: Oh, great! Thanks.

: Why'd you want this anyway?

: Huh... I don't actually know.

: Um... okay. Well, here it is.

Game: Suzu hands you a perfectly crafted violin bridge.

: Thanks again.

Sunday, September 25

Huh, not even a hello.

Game: You see Alice in the music room, seeming to panic.

: Hey, Alice, what's wrong?

: Oh man, this is terrible!

: Calm down, Alice, what's wrong?

: Wait, hold on. I have an extra one right here.

: This is no time for jokes, Goon. I'm really upset about this.

: It's not a joke! Here you go.

Game: She grabs it from you and inspects it carefully.

: Hey... this looks just like mine! Where'd you get this?

: It's kind of a long story...

Monday, September 26

Oh come on, did you seriously need 4 days for this event chain?

: Hi, Alice, what's up?

: That bridge worked fantastically.

: I'm glad to hear it!

At least I got a 2nd point of XP out of it.

We chat with Yui again.

We don't really see her much. I might need to start spending some off days in the park or something.

Alice calls us up to say we're friends. That's nice.

low fashion blah blah blah

We run into Yui again.

Kasumi failed a test, we convinced her to retry.

Sunday, October 30

Finally got around to that outing.

: Hello.

Huh. Wasn't expecting Kasumi. Events with her can be a little weird.

: Hey, Kasumi.

: I'm not wanting to go straight home today... so why don't I... hang out with you for a while?

: Alright.

Duck pond best pond

: It would be nice to skate on this pond.

: I wish you could. However, it never ever gets frozen quite to the state where you can.

: I know what you mean. It gets a little cold but never cold enough.

: That's one of the few downfalls of living here.

: Why is that?

: And the frost on the windows... and the pond skating?

: Exactly.

: Does it really detract from people's views of winter so much to have it not that cold? After all, some places never get any snow.

hi, it's a month off winter and it's still 30C around here

: Well, it does some here. I guess it's because it used to here and it just stopped so suddenly.

: I suppose that's true. Hard to forget about something wonderful once you've had it.

: I wish we could go skating on it though. I'd take you if ever we could.

: Really? You'd really do that?

: Of course I would. I don't say things I don't mena. Besides, it'd be fun.

: What if I taught you?

: Really? You would do that?

: Sure, it's no problem.

: Then I...

: You would love to?

: Well... yes.

: Great! That would be a ton of fun.

: If ever this pond ever freezes solid, you know where I'll be.

I wasn't sure if this scene was being fancy or just trying and messing it up. But "ever this pond ever freezes" is real sus.

We fold some cranes with Rena, nothing special there.

And that's the culture festival done. Now we've got one month left before exams.

Exams, exams...

Good tidings.

Friday, November 11

: Steady... Oh, hello there.

: Looks like you've got your arms full. Can I help you out?

: Sure, I can go with you.

: Let me get those books for you.

: Thanks.

: No problem.

: Hold on a moment.

: Are we here?

: No, I just want to stop at this house really fast.

: Oh?

Game: Kiku leaves the flowers at the doorstep and leaves without ringing the doorbell.

: Thank you for waiting.

: What is this place?

: A cranky old man lives here all by himself. Apparently he is a widower and all his children live far away and rarely ever contact him.

: It was nice of you to think of him.

: Thanks, I hope it makes his day...

: I'm sure it will.

: I think I can take it from here. My house is just over there.

: You sure? I can help you to the door.

Ooh, XP!

I promptly dump all our XP into Intelligence since we're going to need as much of it as we can get.

Monday, November 28

: What is it?

: What does it look like? Only the best author EVER, Fukushima Kayo, is doing a book signing this weekend! Oh man, I'm so pumped!

: This weekend, huh?

: Yeah!

: Are you sure?

: ...Why wouldn't I be? I can read the stupid flyer, Lorde.

If this is a Lit check, I'll laugh. I don't think it is but it'd be a hilariously stupid one.

: WHAT?!

: Looks like it's during school, too.

: YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.

: Here, look for yourself.

: I DON'T BELIEVE IT! What am I going to do, Lorde? WHAT AMI GOING TO DO?!

: Maybe you could skip school?

I don't think we've skipped school yet. Goon must be going mad from like 10 years of high school.

: YES, that's PERFECT!

I actually don't remember this scene. Probably because I never bothered hanging out with Aya.

Tuesday, November 29

: Oh?

: The book signing is at the same time as lunch. If I don't eat lunch, then I can DEFINITELY make it to the signing!

: Hey, that's great!

: I don't really want to go alone, though. That would be boring!

: Sure, sounds fun.

: GREAT! Meet me in front of the school right before lunch, okay? We'll have to run to the store in order to make it there and back in time.

: Okay, sounds good.

: Awesome! See you then!

Friday, December 2

Wait, I thought coming week meant next week.

: Oh man I'm so excited!

: Heh, I'm glad.

: Let's go!

: We're almost there!

: Aya, I hate to say it but there's no way we're going to get back in time...

: Never mind, let's keep going.

: Yeah, let's go!

Game: You and Aya finally make it to the book signing, even though it means you'll get back to school late.

: Oh man, I can't believe it! I can't believe I met Fukushima Kayo!

: I'm glad you're happy.

: Not even getting yelled at for cutting class can ruin my mood!

aya pls don't spoil the other endings

: That's good, because we probably are going to get yelled at...

: Come on, let's go!

: Heehee, doesn't bother me! It's a small price to pay for this autograph!

: That's true. It could be worse.

: Thanks for everything, Lorde! This day wouldn't have been as fun without you!

3 days for 1 XP is good enough.

Almost forgot about those.

Since we haven't really made any friends, I decided to spend a weekend day on heading out to the park.

but i just finished Suzu's route drat it

: Hey, Lorde! What're you here for?

: Oh... just hanging out.

:negative:

: So... I came to collect some leaves but I couldn't find any of the ones I came searching for... So do you want to hang out with me instead?

: Sure!

We just go for a walk in the park.

: Yes, they are. Have you been here before?

: No, I just recognized a few of them from books I've read.

: ...Really?

: Wow, I'm impressed!

: Really? I find the regenerative properties of plants and trees fascinating.

: What do you mean?

: When there's a forest fire, it seems as thought all of the trees have been destroyed and all is lost, right?

: Yeah...

: Wow, really?

: Yup! And when the seeds do come out, they sprout again and the forest returns! Well, after many years of course.

: Wow, that's pretty cool. So the forest just helps itself grow back?

: Yup!

: I heard starfish could grow legs back, too.

: Certain species can, but they usually need to have most of their bodies intact for that to happen.

: That's a pretty nifty ability to have, though... I wish I could do that!

Won't save you from the truck.

: A human liver can regenerate itself to an extent.

: Yeah, but not an arm or a leg!

: I guess medical treatment has taken care of that...

: Exactly! Prosthetic body parts are, in this day and age, just as good as the real thing.

: They're probably better, too, because a prosthetic limb couldn't get fatigued.

: You could still fatigue the part of your body that move the prosthetic, but it's still quite a helpful invention.

I still feel like this game gets their scenario's for dates by looking at random wikipedia pages for something to talk about.

Hiroshi comes to tell us we smell.

We get our grades back, nothing special or unexpected.

Following the advice of our good friend, Hiroshi, we go out to hit on some girls and accomplish nothing.

But we still get invited to Kiku's party so it's all cool.

Hiroshi comes by to tell us congrats for not failing PE.

Space food chat, blah blah. I'm still annoyed I can't skip that scene.

At the Christmas party, we get to show off our mad knowledge of cakes.

: It's a coin that's baked into the cake, and whoever gets it in their slice has luck for the year!

: Wow, very good, Goon! I'm really impressed!

And uh, that's it for changes here.

Since our last two trips to the park haven't really gotten us the Lit people, I decided to head to the Shopping Mall for our next day off.

Saturday, December 31

Oh, come on!

: Hey! I came here to look for something, and I just happened to run into you.

Either the Bookstore or the Electronics Store are good with Suzu, I went with the Electronics Store this time.

: Heh, I figured you would like it here.

: I would love to get inside all of these electronics...

: What do you do once you take things apart?

: First I like to examine how all the parts work together to make the product function. Then I like to see what else I can use the parts for.

: Heh, well it's good to see that you like to recycle...

: Yes, turning old things into new things is quite prodigious.

: Heh, cool.

: Hmm, where should we even begin...

: What kind of music do you listen to?

: I don't listen to much at all.

: Do you own a CD player?

I gave up on figuring out when this game a while back.

: No, but we have one down at Ikegawa.

It's never confirmed what kind of music Kazuki likes but I have a feeling it's something like rock/metal.

: Oh, I see.

: What type do you think I would like?

: Hmm, that's a good question. Hey, what about techno?

: Hmm. Techno: Electronic dance music prominent during the 1980s. Originated in Detroit, Michigan.

: Heh, you seem to know a lot even though you said you don't listen to much music...

: I enjoy reading on every subject, including music.

: Looks like you can sample some techno music over here.

Game: Suzu listens to a sample of the music.

: Hmm, this music is very interesting.

: Go for it!

: Well, I did discover a few tango steps online a few weeks ago...

: Heh, well, I don't know if you'd want everyone in the store looking at you...

: Hmm, perhaps that would be bad manners...

Maybe we'll get to hang out with someone else next time.

How high do our stats need to be before we can comfortably clear roots? 6 or 8?

Mysticblade
Oct 22, 2012

Somewhere around that 6-7 point in everything, we'll start off with enough stats and gain enough that it's not a terrible amount of trouble.

What would be more help would be getting upgraded actions. I never did get upgraded Lit or Science in my last run, but upgraded Rest was a huge boon. Of course, getting that is a bit up to luck...

Well... things are going alright?

We had an alright dream and school started up. Nothing fancy.

We get that scene where Kasumi is avoiding Alice when assigned to do groupwork with her again.

The only difference is that we get the option to empathise with Kasumi.

: Maybe Kasumi has some really tough personal problems to deal with right now.

Yeouch.

: I know, but maybe it's something that cannot be helped.

: I guess...

From here, it's back to normal.

Thursday, January 12

: What's up, Rena?

:smith:

: I guess it's just not my thing.

: I study and study and pay attention so hard in class, but I just don't get it.

: Oh shut up, Aya.

: Hey! I have a great idea! Let's see who does better on the science test- you or me, Rena.

: Why would I want to do that?

: To see if someone who isn't from planet earth can beat a humble earthling like myself, of course.

: Ugh...

: What's wrong, Rena?

: My stomach all of the sudden feels... fluttery... Like there's butterflies in there or something.

: Man, you must have swallowed a whole lot of them, then. I mean, just look how much you're shaking!

: Oh!

: Rena, you don't look so well...

: She must be leaving her window open at night because she's been swallowing butterflies!

: Oh no! I do leave my window open!

: Oh come on Aya, that can't be right...

: Of course it is! Everyone knows that in a year everyone swallows some percentage of bugs in their sleep, so why not butterflies?

: You're full of it, Aya. People don't swallow butterflies.

: They do too! Haven't you ever heard people talking about "butterflies in your stomach"?

: Everyone knows it's just a figure of speech.

: Ugh, thanks for ruining my joke, Lorde! Man, you're just as dense and gullible as Rena is! I'd better get out of here before I catch any more crazy than I already have...

: ...

: You okay, Rena?

: Aww, it's okay...

Interesting to know there are events with XP hidden behind low stat requirements.

I don't remember if I've shown this loading screen off yet, but it's still cute.

Still hoping to find someone at the park, but that's a miss today.

The chances of finding someone during the week are lower but a single weekday means less than the weekend, so I schedule 2 days to fish for something.

Monday, January 16

We ask her what's wrong since I'm fine with helping Aya as long as it doesn't involve being a dick to others.

: Hmm...

: Hey Aya, what are you doing?

: OUT OF MY WAY!

: What was it?

: A mailing envelope. It has something in it I'm supposed to mail today and I kinda... lost it, I think. I had it a minute ago, I SWEAR! These things ALWAYS happen to me! And don't you dare pull a Kiku and say I'm just irresponsible...

: I see.

: Of course I will.

: Great! Let's do it.

Game: You help Aya scour the school, but to no avail. The letter is nowhere to be found. Finally, you convince her to take a break.

: This SUCKS! Why doesn't anything every work out fo rme? I try and I try but things like this just keep happening...

: Hey, Aya, calm down. We'll find it... It's- hey, what's that?

Heh. Been there, done that.

: ...It was there all along? Well, just GREAT!

: Don't get upset! We found it. It's no big deal.

With Aya, I can't tell what answer will make her blow up.

: Don't get upset? Come on, I'm the biggest moron in the world! Look at this, it was there in my arms ALL ALONG.

: It's a little funny, isn't it?

: No! You just don't get it! Stop being so mean to me...

: Aya, please... calm down. You're just upset right now.

We got XP, that's good enough for me.

No one showed up on either of our trips to the park. Guess it's time to stop trying for now.

Monday, January 23

Game: You notice a very long line in front of one of the stores.

I think I recognise this event. It was about time.

: Oh, hello Goon, what are you doing here?

: Just running some errands. How about you?

: I'm waiting in line so I can buy a raffle ticket. All the money is being donated to help fund a butterfly habitat to protect an endangered species of butterfly!

: Sounds like a good cause and a nice prize.

: Oh no! I didn't realize what time it was! I have to run home before I'm late! I hope I can make it back in time!

: Hey, wait...

Too late, she's gone.

: I might as well stay in line and get a ticket.

Game: You wait in line for about half an hour before you get the chance to buy a ticket.

I only have enough money to buy one ticket. I hope it's a lucky one.

: I'm back! Did we win?

: We'll know in just a moment. They're about to make the announcement.

Game: The announcer names the winning ticket numbers: 101928, 828394, and 284939.

: Did we win?

Game: You look down at your ticket and see number 101928.

: !!!

That's a success on our the luck check. The XP isn't even the best part of this event.

Game: She snatches up the ticket and runs up to the prize stand.

: Yay! Thank you so much! Look, Goon! The prize is TWO tickets! You have to come with me.

Guess I should get ready to burn some energy when the next part comes around.

We also grabbed something for Yui.

Wedneday, February 1

: ...

: Kasumi?

: Yes...?

: What's going on?

: I was just thinking about... someone. It wasn't anything important.

: Are you sure? You look like you've been thinking about some heavy stuff.

: I'm very sure.

: Oh...alright.

: Well...

: Wait, Kasumi! Do you want to talk?

: ...No...

: Is something wrong, though?

: Of course I care.

: Hmm...

: What?

: It's nothing. Just the pessimist in me trying to voice itself again.

Oho?

: Sure. I'd love that.

: Alright.

Game: She writes it down and hands it to you.

: Just don't lose it...

That's most of the numbers gotten then.

Well then, may as go for a bit of a chat, no?

: Hey, Kasumi. It's Goon-chan.

stop referring to yourself as Goon-chan damnit

: Oh, hello. *yawn*

: Sorry, did I just wake you?

: It's okay, I've been napping too long...

: Heh, how long exactly?

: Hmm... I guess it's been about 6 hours or so...

: That sounds more like sleeping than napping.

: I suppose...

: Do you usually take long naps like that?

: Is it because you're bored at home?

: Hmm?

: I usually only take naps when I'm bored.

: It seems like lately I just go to sleep right when I come home from school.

: That doesn't seem like you.

: What do you mean?

: I know you think most people just waste their lives away by going through the same old, tired patterns.

: ...

: Well, you'll waste your life away too if you just start sleeping all the time.

: You'll feel better if you try to do a little something every day.

Sucks to end a day and realise you've done absolutely nothing valuable.

: Hmm...

: Besides, too much sleep is unhealthy!

: I'll try my best.

: Let me know if I can help at all.

: Alright, I will. Oh, it's time for dinner- I'll talk to you later.

: Okay, have a nice evening.

And right after that...

: Sorry, I keep forgetting to talk to you...

: What's going on?

: Well, I guess I just wanted to say thanks for paying attention to me... I know I'm not the easiest person in the world to get along with, but you're always so patient. I really appreciate that.

: Oh, thanks...

: Bye.

...I don't actually remember if she has more affection chats. Guess I'll try to see them at some point.

No one likes us enough to get us anything for Valentine's.

Wednesday, February 8

Game: You see that Alice looks quite down today.

...?

We check on her. I'm pretty sure I hadn't done this event yet.

I better see what's wrong. What kind of friend would I be If I didn't?

: Hey, Alice... is something wrong?

: Hmm? No, not... really, no.

: Are you sure? You look pretty down.

: ...Well... It's just that I... guess I miss America a little.

: Really?

: Yeah. I like it here a lot, and I really like the people, but I really miss home too.

: Maybe we should do something to remind you of home.

: Really?

: Yeah, we'll go do whatever you want.

: Well, okay. That sounds alright to me.

: See you after school, then.

: Hey there, Goon!

: Oh, there you are.

: I thought we could go to the mall, maybe?

: Sounds good to me.

: I'll take us out for some late lunch.

: Really? Where at?

: You'll see.

Game: You take Alice out to an American-style fast-food restaurant called "Burger Tzar". The food was simple, just burgers and fries, but it seemed to cheer her up noticeably.

: Oh, it was nothing.

: No, you were really nice to me. You knew how much I was missing home and this was perfect to make me feel a little more at home. It's just like the cheeseburgers my friends and I would get after school.

: It's the least I could do.

Oi, where's my XP?

We hang out with the lads who also didn't get anything for Valentine's.

And Aya laughs at us for our shampoo, I guess.

Hi, Kasumi!

Rena and Aya squabble over something again, we side with Rena.

Hiroshi has some bone headed plan to go hang out with Yui, we go along with it this time.

Wednesday, March 1

: Sure.

: I guess...

: Okay, let's go sit with her.

: Oh! I-

: Great!

: What? Where are you going?!

: I told you she'd get angry!

Well, that went about as well as expected.

Rubbing it in, eh?

Well, more time for us.

We may have spent a bit too much time hanging out at the park but we're still at the point in the game where Satsuko doesn't really care about our grades.

Saturday, March 18

We've seen this before, we've just got a new branch. Aya was chatting about wanting to make a doujin for some show.

: Oh, are you plotting out a doujinshi again?

: Oh, so you know about it? I didn't think I told you.

: It was a guess. Code Helix, right?

Boom, that's all that mattered. Aya blows up and runs away after we say we're not helping but I think we've seen that?

Sunday, March 19

Neat, although I don't think we'll do anything with it for a while.

: Lorde-san, come to the park, NOW.

: What?

: Alright, I'll be there in a few.

: Okay, great.

: Hey, Lorde-san!

: Hello!

: Hey!

Game: Hiroshi has a remote-controlled helicopter in his hands.

: Whoa, sweet helicopter!

: Heh, thanks. I built her myself.

: Wow, that's pretty cool.

: He's been obsessed with it for days! I'm glad he's finally brining it outdoors intead of flying it around the house constantly...

: Oh, come on...

: Sorry, but the buzzing disrupts my thoughts!

: Whatever...

: You really know how to fly that thing.

: Wanna try?

: Sure!

Game: Kazuki flies the helicopter around shakily.

: Heh, not too bad.

I just skip this since I think it's based off Science and I kind of don't feel like checking it out.

Game: After flying it around a bit more, he gently lands it and returns the controls to Hiroshi.

: There's something very satisfying about building a helicopter and actually seeing it fly afterwards.

: That's exactly how I feel about the vehicles I work on in the shop.

how exciting

It's nice to have some friends.

Thursday, May 23

: Grr...

: Sorry...

: Er... is everything okay?

: What makes you think it isn't?!

: Well...

: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.

: Yeah, me too.

: Um...

: It is not your fault... Please do not tell anyone, but Aya's family has no insurance... Her family does not have the money to cover Aya's wisdom tooth extraction right now without the insurance... I offered to help her pay for it, but she would not let me. She said it would be an insult to her family, which is understandable, I suppose.

: Ah, I see...

: I hate to see her in this much pain, though...

: I guess she's just in a bad situation...

First time I've seen this event end like that. The only other time I saw it, we ended up doing some crazy plan to try and convince her to take Kiku's money for this.

Anyway, we're still hanging in there.

Is Aya's route worth the trouble of sandbagging everyone else for her enjoyment? Because gently caress you Aya.

Considering my wisdom teeth were at a essentially 90 degree angle, good job making me actually feel sympathy for Aya for once game.

Gotta do Aya's route at some point. Going to suck having to pick all the terrible options but it's a one and done deal. We'll never have to be nice to her again.

Aya doesn't have any requirements, right? Is she just an XP-dump route?

Mysticblade
Oct 22, 2012

I can't recall any stat requirements on her route but the last time I did it, I was capping nearly every stat anyway. Her route's real easy.

Been busy this past month and I'm heading oversea's for 2 weeks today. No updates until I get back.

I, uh, have been playing another life sim in my free time. One with betterworse writing.

Huh that game is translated?

Neat. Sweet. Petite.

SSNeoman posted:

Huh that game is translated?

Dubiously - the translation is crowd-sourced and it SHOWS. The secondary characters name change between the Chinese Name, and a literal translation, several spots where it's clear the translation was by a non-native speakers, and several (Namely the Go and Painting game) are left untranslated.

Like it's still a fun game and generally understandable unless you hit an untranslated spot, but sadly apparently they completely abandoned the English side of the game, so no added story content or improved English for us.

One of these days, I'm going to actually refer to my previous update so I can remember where I am.

We picked some good friends.

Satsuko comes for one of those regular visits.

Wednesday, April 5

: Oh, wasn't that amazing? I've never seen that many butterflies in one place. I especially liked the enclosed areas full of foreign butterflies. I didn't think I'd ever get to see a monarch butterfly in person, with my own yes. It was like a dream.

: I'm glad you enjoyed it so much.

: These thoughts will stay with me always. I'll use them while I meditate tonight. The idea of being surrounded by butterflies is so relaxing...

yeeeessssss

: Have you ever wondered how I managed to be so relaxed and happy all the time? I meditate every night, for at least a half hour. Sometimes even an hour or two.

Time to drop everything else and do this. Mind you, we weren't doing much.

: Let's work on it until the end of Golden Week on May the fifth, alright? By then, you should be a meditating master!

We've got about a month to do this and very little leeway.

Luckily, we never failed this. That does mean I can't show off or remember if it has a fail anim, so I suppose it's not all roses.

I kinda wonder if this project ever succeeds but that'd probably be overthinking things.

Hiroshi says we're not cool. :smith:

Suzu asks us to help carry some stuff. We have seen this before but there's a new thing open.

She bumped into something hot, obviously doesn't feel pain since she's a robot.

: What are you looking at?

Game: Suzu looks down and sees a burn mark on her on her arm.

: Oops, how careless of me!

: Are you okay?

: Yup, never better!

We didn't even get XP off that.

End of semester, nothing new. I should probably just skip mentioning this, it doesn't change.

Friday, May 5

: We see how well you did at the whole meditation process!

Game: She closes her eyes and focuses hard.

: Goon, relax and let me feel your spirit. Then I'll know if you worked hard enough! Ah!

: Well, I'm off to take care of my garden. It's been a while, I don't want my flowers to get lonely. Bye!

We got a new action out of this.

: Now you can meditate instead of resting. It'll recharge you so much more and keep you at better peace.

It's been a while since I've seen the difference immediately, but if I recall right, Meditate basically increases your stamina bar and you still restore the same amount of from resting. We always have to rest so this will be useful for every single loop from now until the end.

I was going to do more update, but that was actually 8 minutes of gameplay. So instead, I'll do what I really should've done before this update.

Time to pick someone!:siren:

Well then, time for our literate Goon to pick someone to try and hang out with more.

We're not particularly close with any of them but still, the option remains.

Kiku means we're going for an early loop finish. We're not suceeding but I thought I'd give the option anyway. I'm just putting this option here since I've been getting mad about LP's that don't offer any sort of interaction.

Rena is probably the most doable for us. Relatively easy route, we've seen plenty of events with her and I'd suspect we're just a few dates off being actual friends with her.

Yui, is uhh... Well, it's easier than Kiku and I'm not actually sure how possible this is for us. It's not an easy route and we'd have to spend a ton of time in the park hoping to see her.

Select here.

It might be worth cutting our losses and going with Rena yea
