My favorite part of the funny pictures thread is when people complain about pictures other people post with posting funny pictures themselves. Whining is a much better way to contribute to the thread than posting pictures that some people might not find funny.

That image isn't ordered in any other way that makes sense, like "how much it made opening weekend", "how much it made in theaters", or "how much it's made total". Inception ranks first in theater, Titanic wins by overall gross (regardless of inflation).

so what the hell order is that supposed to be? Some sort of weird subjective ranking sorted first by release date then by how much whoever made the image liked those movies?

i don't know why i spent five minutes on this

OK this one might require an explanation. You see there was this video game called Splatoon. It became quite popular on the internet, do to it's fun, unique gameplay and cute anime squids. Like anything popular on the internet, it spawned memes. The most popular is probably Splat Tim

Splat Tim is obviously hilarious, no explanation needed.

Splatoon was not just popular on the internet, it was also a big commercial success, bigger than some established Nintendo series like The Metroid or Kirby. There was a sequel, Splatoon 2, which was even better and more successful than Splatoon.
