The thing is he played well, his list has the kit and the health to beat the ghost and the reason he lost was turbo red dice and fenn rolling 7/8 nattie evades straight. He just joined the OP chorus instead of being like hey, Fenn rolled hot. Triple Bumpmaster with Intel agent and Ion projectors and he thinks the ghost is a NPE? Being ion locked and taking shots in the manoeuvre phase is probably really loving fun haha

Oh it's whalers on the moon, more or less. That build did the rounds a couple of months back, it never really caught on, because the arc-locked duders are just way too fragile. I don't get the impression it's got a lot better since. Jostero still dies to two good hits, Torani still dies to 3, and they allstill struggle with PS11 enemies.

My biggest mistake with the list against 11s was always flying in formation. As soon as I split them up a bit to make the opposing player commit to one direction it became more effective. I always seem to fly formation against Fenn/Ghost. I have one turn killed a sensor jammer ghost with it. Used LRS to scare off Fenn for a turn. Even if I don't kill it unless I am having a bad dice day ghost will only last 2 turns maybe three if I get stuck into it. Fenn can't take on any of the ships 1v1. Top 8 at Tulsa was: 2x Nym Miranda (One was a runner up) Fenn Ghost Poe/Low/Fenn (Winner) Palp/Quick/Quiz Kylo/Vader/Academy Control Brobots (I think) Something with Rey (I think) The Poe list that won was flown by my good friend Tim. It was weird. Standard PS11 Optics Poe. Fenn with Adaptability, Inspiring Recruit, R3-A2. Low with Rage, Chopper (crew), Finn.

Really wish I could get a match vs Nym/Miranda at a big tournament. That's what Nym/Torani/Joestro what built to kill. Most of those players have switched to GhostFenn

Tracers are -Insurance to make sure you get the locks you need -There to help the squad hit harder on the second round if you didn't need it to set up the harpoons on the first round -There to give you full mods on the first round if you're SURE you'll hit with the tracers.

Trip report from the Michigan Regional: Day started well with two solid wins, one 100-0 over Brobots and one 100-50 over Bossk and a K-Fighter with Harpoons and a Contracted Scout. Unfortunately after that it fell apart, as I lost three straight against Imperial Aces (Kylo/Quickdraw/Countdown), Rey/Poe, and Asaji/Dengar. In all three I suffered from some bad luck, but I also made some critical mistakes that really hurt-especially in the match against the ImpAces, where I made, in retrospect, some boneheaded moves in allowing one of my Y-Wings to get peeled off and wiped out while (fruitlessly) sending everyone else after Kylo. OH WELL, there's always next year.

Also, check out this fun alt format that's going on in the weird scrambled league right now: quote:Week 3, March 15: “Always in Motion is the Future” - - 100 points, standard play, but all ships set two dials at the start of the first round - one next to the ship, the other on the pilot card for the ship. At the start of each round subsequent round, move the dial from each ship's card next to the appropriate ship in the play area, then set a dial on the ship's pilot card for the following turn's maneuver. So you set your dials essentially 2 turns into the future. Sounds really fun
