I do appreciate that they did a scene at least somewhat worthy of the head-in-butt-scene previously :haw:

I thought the same. I was in total shock and amazement at that scene.

I was not feeling that first episode, but that killer hand joke was really clever. Episode two pulled me back in.

Still not feeling Ruby this year though. Her outfit's a hot mess and all this evil baby stuff is retreading old ground.

Yeah, the entire sperm bank scene was great and gross. Also really enjoyed Pablo realizing that he shouldn't be ogling the topless mystical messenger.

Still not as good as the shattered frozen head kill from Jason X, but a drat fine second place.

We need more of those in fiction, with or without the sperm

The episodes are great so far. Dalton seems a little out of place, but he'll make a good deadite. This baby Ruby cooked up is interesting, apparently the Necronomicon doubles as a donor brochure?

Lee Majors was used better in this one episode than in all of last season.

Also that was a quick end to a character I thought would be around longer. RIP Hottie.

Lots of good tits in that movie and underrated in my opinion as a sci-fi movie.

I like Jason X way more than I should. It had it's tongue so heavily mashed into it's cheek that I could do nothing but laugh as Jason blows up Mystery Science Theater 3000 level props.

If you approach it less as a cheesy horror movie and more of a parody of every horror movie that ended up "INNN SPAAACE" it's much much better.

ED: Also a cyborg Jason known as the UberJason. A cyborg nano-upgraded UberJason. So loving over the top it's wonderful

Were there really THAT many horror movies that ended up innnnn spaaaaace? Like is it possible for Jason X to be satirizing Jason X?

There were more than you'd think.

Jason X was total self parody while they spun their wheels until Freddy VS Jason could get made.

I get that Jason X is basically a sendup of the franchise, genre, and general 90's space/extreme stuff.

But like... Jason... the Leprechaun... I'm blanking on other crazy rear end horrors that went to space (that didn't start there for reasons). Maybe the PuppetMaster Puppets got up there? I don't remember the Cenobites but I don't think I've seen every Hellraiser movie.

God drat it, Critters is good and started in space and specifically wasn't innnnn spaaaace it was onnnnn eaaaaarth!

I'll grant that maybe there were more than I realized as long as we don't start counting the Alien movies or Phantasm or something because they started in space.

But I will not concede Critters. They were aliens being hunted by aliens. Its built in, drat it!

Also now I kind of want Ash to fight some Critters.

Tearing the jaw off in the coffin scene was accidental, but they left it in because it worked so well.

It could be space, maybe Mars. Or Hell. Or Martian Hell.

I guess maybe it can't be Mars because of the gravity but it's a red place with lots of gravity, that could be out there in space somewhere.

PS Evil Dead VS Phantasm when?
