So, I'm working on a Dinsey related personal project and have been going back to the old shorts. And man, it's been a minute since I've seen Steamboat Willie and what trippy film. It's funny how they use that begin animation of Mickey steering a boat because the rest of the film is like a Ren and Stimpy episode. The end of the cartoon is literally just Mickey torturing other animals to produce music. Minnie, as well as the proto-Minnie from the Oswald cartoons, also has a pretty routine gag of losing her underwear in some way which gets weird the third time it happens. Like that's her running gag. Because I'm pretty sure the main goal of Ub Iwerks's career was being able to draw ladies losing their clothes as much as possible.

Pick posted:Sinbad and Spirit are both good. I think the way Sinbad handles incorporating 3D models with the 2D drawings was really really bad. It looked awful then and it looks especially bad now. However on the other hand, Eris is probably one of the best animated characters like, ever. Everything about her character is wonderful
