The part of that picture that always squicks me is how the bone of his leg is exposed, and because of how they have his legs up whatever meatsoup his flesh is at this point has kind of sloughed down over his knee. Urg.

Steve-O: Demise and Rise is an MTV special about Steve-O from Jackass and his battle with drug addiction. It's really worth a watch. There's one moment in it that really affected me. (Stop reading here if you're going to watch it!) So at the nadir of his drug addiction Steve-O sends out a mass email announcing his intention to commit suicide. A bunch of the Jackass guys who live nearby decide to go over as fast as they can. When they get there Steve-O agrees to get help, but he wants to film his own intervention. Since obviously none of the guys brought a camera, he pulls out his own and starts filming. Only a few seconds get recorded before Johnny Knoxville slaps the camera out of his hands, but for a split second the camera is leveled directly at Knoxville. "There's this one frame, if you look at it, you can see this look on Knoxville's face. Everyone's seen him in such incredible agony, but he's never had such a pained look on his face." -Steve-O

I think it was in this thread, but someone posted a YouTube video of some Japanese guy giving a tour of his house during some sort of nighttime storm. He’d walk around the house in circles saying things like “and this is where my grandma sleeps”. Each time he’d circle the house it would get progressively creepier in very subtle ways. Anyone have that?

I remember him explaining that he would often try to kill himself by holding his breath between whippets so he only got nitrous oxide and no oxygen. Glad the dude got help and Jackass 3 was all the funnier because now he had to do all that crazy stuff sober.

One of the people they interview for the special is Steve-O’s friend and ex-bodyguard, who describes how awful it was to watch the guy blast these little cans back-to-back-to-back-to-back. The whippets are what made him start hearing voices in his head telling him to die. They’re way way worse than I thought.
