Potatoes and bacon in a deep fried crust. I’d eat the rear end in a top hat out of that.

They've been baked for years.

At least twenty, because they baked them when I worked there.

They made a graham cracker crust instead of a baked crust and as far as I can tell just used big lumps of grapefruit meat for the grapefruit pulp, I'm sure it probably sucks no matter what but they could at least have followed the recipe?

Well, time for some AFP then. Around 1992 most McDonald's in the USA and Canada started baking them. They taste as sad as they look.

Apple -- the all year round flavour.

Cherry

Flat on one side for baking. The crust is mushy and bland, not bubbly and crisp. Definitely not worth the calories.

They supposedly pulped the grapefruit, although that doesn't mean they did it properly.

Not making excuse for the crust non-authenticity, though.

I prefer Pink's when it comes to chili dogs in LA—I think the sauce is a little greasier and more flavorful, and the hot dog is maybe better.Tommy's might still have the better chili burger of the two (I've never tried the one at Pink's), but personally I'm much more into chili dogs.

In the Valley there's also Chili John's, which serves the chili over spaghetti, hot dogs, rice, and tamales. It's a lot greasier and spicier than Cincinnati-style chili, I think, or at least than the canned Skyline and Dixie chili that I've tried.

Just don't take them when they offer you 2/$1 at the window. I've only done it once, but they were kinda sad so I'm assuming they weren't FRESH fresh. Their fries are always top tier though.

I dunno if it's a texture thing per se, but stuff that's really thick or glutinous and takes a long time to chew, just sets my animal brain off and makes me freak out until I'm done with it.

e: also, stuff with little seeds like pomegranates, maybe I just have big gaps between my molars or what, but they're really annoying to eat.

Nah, pies are like the opposite of pizza.
Pies have the pastry on top (or all around encasing it) with the filling under it.
Pizzas have the bready base on the bottom under the topping. They are the inverse of a pie.
I will accept an argument that a calzone is a pasty though.
