Alright, political ethics question: I'm at a fundraising St Pat's dinner tonight for an Irish charity I'm a part of in NYC (it's really old, like 1700's old, and they have a men's chorus I'm part of). The dignitaries/speakers who go onto the dais in the ballroom walk right by us and usually say hello or wave as they walk by. The speaker was supposed to be Colin Quinn, which would have been at least nominally funny, but now that he had a heart attack a few weeks back, it's been changed to Andrew Card, Chief of Staff for W. Bush from '01 to '06 and one of the primary architects of the Iraq War. Do I hock a loogie right at him and risk being arrested (chances are if I miss, I hit Cardinal Timothy Dolan or Chuck Schumer, so it wouldn't be all bad) or do I just give him a big double-thumbs-up and a "Great Job creating ISIS, ya sack of poo poo"? Also at play is that I don't want my wife to get mad at me for getting arrested so I'm hoping the latter suffices.
