Ideal scenario:
1. Paul Ryan loses to Paul Nehlen
2. Ryan swallows what's left of his pride, endorses and campaigns for Nehlen
3. Nehlen gets bodied by Bryce

No the ideal scenario is Nehlen runs on the R ticket and Ryan runs 3rd party because he's a sore loser.

Alright, political ethics question:

I'm at a fundraising St Pat's dinner tonight for an Irish charity I'm a part of in NYC (it's really old, like 1700's old, and they have a men's chorus I'm part of). The dignitaries/speakers who go onto the dais in the ballroom walk right by us and usually say hello or wave as they walk by.

The speaker was supposed to be Colin Quinn, which would have been at least nominally funny, but now that he had a heart attack a few weeks back, it's been changed to Andrew Card, Chief of Staff for W. Bush from '01 to '06 and one of the primary architects of the Iraq War.

Do I hock a loogie right at him and risk being arrested (chances are if I miss, I hit Cardinal Timothy Dolan or Chuck Schumer, so it wouldn't be all bad) or do I just give him a big double-thumbs-up and a "Great Job creating ISIS, ya sack of poo poo"?

Also at play is that I don't want my wife to get mad at me for getting arrested so I'm hoping the latter suffices.

The Lamb result made me think about this race, but I wasn't able to find any recent polling so no clue if it's actually going to be close.

I dare not hope that Ryan is consumed by the wave, but goddamn how sweet would that be.

I think they're more so referring to the "criminal defense lawyer" part, rather than a divorce lawyer.

The worst is when I want "its" and it adds an apostrophe for no good reason.

I think you underestimate just how ideologically driven Ryan is. He wants to blow up everything since The New Deal, and he is working to do that. I don't see Ryan leaving until he has finished making America his own personal version of Rapture.
