LORD OF BOOTY posted:e: K. Waste is dead on in every respect except "it's not good and it's not fun," if you like crazy poo poo you'll at least get some enjoyment out of it and the crowd reactions should be worth the ticket price on their own. There needs to be a new word for enjoyment or engagement that isn't, in a certain sense, "fun." Like, I am wicked intrigued by the idea of watching hentai on the big screen in 35 mm; but it's also chock-a-block with rape, and any possible "fun" I could get just out of the unalloyed purity of dudes butchering their dicks off or turning into flying, demon-eviscerating wolf-men is always undermined by my just waiting for the next rape scene in a film whose story is consciously structured around rape. I guess 'morbid interest' already exists, but for Urotsukidoji, even that just doesn't seem to cut it. And on the big screen in 35 mm it's definitely way beyond that... Maybe I should just call it 'being insane'?

Wow, dreamworks has no intended releases this year. WDAS only has wreck it Ralph 2, and Pixar only had incredibles 2. loving fart. We get gnomeo and Juliet 2 though. Oh boy.

Pick, if you went to that skeleton afterlife does that mean you still need to deal with your wonky skeleton? Because that would suck. Plus, imagine if you had Osteogenesis imperfecta

DreamWorks hasn't done one a year in awhile (hell, I think they've done as many as four sometimes) but Pixar rambling it up was new and mostly originally had to do with delays that had them put out zero one year. Disney does in fact tend to just do one though

Little thing to clear the air... of... semen? Apparently. alot of porn chat R/N... Anyway, a mostly animated movie I have a soft spot for is Chuck Jones' Phantom Tollbooth - it has imaginative characters and fun puns, and some of the songs are fun too (just don't let Milo sing, his actor sounds terrible) A personal favourite is Noise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7rZJidVeZkHe just loves his job On the other side of things, I like this song a lot but Milo should never have been allowed to sing any of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJaNDQ-jkxs BioEnchanted fucked around with this message at 16:58 on Mar 17, 2018 |

The animated Spider-Man and Isle of the Dogs look pretty great. I don't have high expectations for The Grinch, but I'm fine with anything that gets Ron Howard's Grinch off of TV every Christmas.Mechafunkzilla posted:Animation Thread 2018: Should I watch hentai?

His use of abstraction prompting an element of play on the part of the viewer to both fill in and live in the visual world of the film is up there with Mary Blair's vision of Alice in Wonderland and Richard Williams's psuedo-Arabia in Thief and the Cobbler.

Apparently. alot of porn chat R/N... not really? one porn movie got brought up that's really more in line with, like, hong kong Cat III movies than what we generally think of as porn (which is the only reason I jumped into the conversation, because it's honestly extremely a lot of people here's poo poo despite its rep) and then a couple hosed up art movies got brought up in relation to it like, i would call these movies "porn" the way A Serbian Film or Irreversible is "porn;" i guess if you really want to squint it counts, but i really don't want to think about the kinds of people who actually would look at it that way and not be into it for basically polar-opposite reasons e: beside that point, I still really wanna see Isle of Dogs because bare minimum it's going to have a shitload of adorable doggos in it

I doubt they're that poor. Certainly not great wages, but probably a fairly livable salery. I'd more assume they never have the time to eat anyways. Who has time to wait 20 min for a meal when you gotta get 20 frames done in 15 minutes.
