I didn't dislike season 2 so it's harder for me to gauge if/when it got better, but I remember liking season 4 a lot and I thought 5 finished up well. I I feel like the show became super convoluted in 2 and 3 and, while I enjoyed it, I wondered if they'd ever make sense of it, but 4 and 5 somehow did that in a satisfying way imo.

I mean it's ridiculous as hell and gets pretty out there. I dug that but if it's what turned you off of season 2 it just might not be your thing in general? fwiw I also binged seasons 1 and 2 to catch up to season 3, so maybe w/e problems season 2 had weren't as noticeable as they would be if I had a week to digest each episode.

But yeah, I like Orphan Black a lot. and as a sidenote, that show is very impressive on a technical level. It's probably one of the best looking things Canada's made for TV, though tbf I think it was a joint production with the BBC or something so it would have more to work with.

I'm not really shocked that a spinoff of a webseries with the premise of "two down-to-earth girls who are struggling for artistic success in Brooklyn" has suffered since their creators got widly successful and beloved. Losing touch with what it's like to be a broke 20-something has stymied a lot of comics before them.

I know you're joking, but I find it so strange that people still think that Hero's quality was affected seriously by the writer's strike. That poo poo impacted their final two episodes, at most. There's no excuse there for the rest of the season.

Human Target.

Hell, Luke Cage had a harder dropoff in quality between the first and second halves of its first season.

Also, I think you may be romanticizing JJ season 1 a bit, because while it had a better story and Kilgrave was a much more compelling villain, it was at least 3-4 episodes longer than it needed to be.

That doesn't seem possible. Titanic came out in 1997 and was in production for the better part of a year. Seaquest was still on the air when the film would have been shooting.
