I've never head of TRUSTcompany so I didn't get it was a joke. I haven't listened to Underoath since Changing of the Times, and really only liked Act of Depression.

When bands change their sound that much, it always makes me wonder why they didn't change their name.

Googling that lead me to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOQ52JG-_w0

quote:

"Sorry folks, as much as I do like controversy, there really isn't any to report on this subject. Underoath have left the Warped Tour, and as much as people want to give me credit for that, the truth is they just really needed a break apparently. Some people have suggested that they bailed because I made too much fun of them (I kinda did). Problem with that theory is that I have made fun of plenty of bands on this tour i.e. Against Me, the Blackhearts, Anti-Flag, Sherwood, The Acadamy Is, Thursday, Less Than Jake, Rise Against, etc. I have also taken plenty of jabs at Christians, Jews, Buddhists, and Muslims.
I feel I am an equal opportunist when it comes to getting laughs from an easy target. One thing I really try not to do is make fun of bands that I'm not friends with. That*s why two days into the tour, I introduced myself to the Underoath guys and we have been friendly ever since. Of course we have some differences. They tend to not believe in evolution, dinosaurs, reproductive rights, premarital sex, or gay marriage. Some of them don't even like looking at porn (that*s just crazy). The point is, at some point I sat down with most of them and had quite a few discussions about a lot of these issues.

Every talk we had was civil and respectful and no matter how wrong I think a few of those guys are, there were never any hard feelings between us. They*re actually really nice dudes. Maybe on their summer break they could spend some time reading some other books, instead of just the one." - Fat Mike

Late to the party on this, gave the album a spin on my way to work today. Was very much my poo poo. Mathcore isn't my first love, but I do like when it goes full throttle with the chaos and heaviness. So thanks for the good find.

Holy poo poo, this is awesome. Probably my favorite thing I've found from this thread (at least in a long time). More mathcore/tech metal please.

Here's the dude's bandcamp: https://patrickdhogan.bandcamp.com/

The shrug emote stuff is a bit more punk (for lack of a better term, genres are hard). PlasticBag FaceMask seems to be pretty similar to Time Bomb.

I'm going next month. Fortress and Kezia tie for their best album, and I missed the Kezia X tour.

Jealous you're seeing Closure in Moscow, they own. Thank You Scientist are great too, they used to play shows in my basement, kind of like a mix between Coheed & Cambria and the Rx Bandits. Neither are metal at all, it's kind of a weird mix but it should be a loving awesome show

PtH were great, although it was a shorter set than I expected--the schedule said 9-10:30, but they just played Fortress and a two song encore (Skies and another song I couldn't place). Also for some reason they all put on silly hats for Limb From Limb. Rody dressed in a full ship captain's outfit. And he talked about poop a lot.

Closure in Moscow definitely did not play all of First Temple as advertised, though they played quite a bit of it (it's been a long time since I listened to them). They opened with a couple more recent-sounding songs. One of them might be new because I can't find the lyrics anywhere ("A kilo is 1000 grams"?). Kissing Cousins and Sweet#hart are the ones I recognized.

Feeling nostalgic this morning and blasting some Shroud of Turin, a local southwestern CT band from the 05-06 era that never recorded more than a six track EP I lost between moves. Someone stuck some of their joints on YouTube though. I wish these guys had kept at it. Still extremely my poo poo. If you were from CT and into shows at that time you'd have seen these guys playing with Invocation of Nehek and The Breathing Process etc quite often.
