democratic socialism didn't bloom in europe until post wwii.

people don't do good things on their own, you need to remind them every hundred years how bad it can get to get them to be good to each other.

otherwise the hedonic treadmill makes them get as aggreived about not getting into a tier i school or whatever as ppl in the past got about having to eat their dogs when the currency was worthless

DC and New York are both cool, fun, diverse cities whose general populations certainly aren't a drain on society by any metric. I don't see how wiping out all of them to get at a few assholes could be read as a good thing.

I honestly didn't even know they still made physical copies of PC games. Even console games are moving towards massive downloads and internal HD's right?

AFAIK, Blizzard still makes fancy physical box copies for all their games but they're kinda the exception. And even they have a pretty robust digital distribution service that they've been pushing pretty hard lately so who knows how long that will last for.

Pretty sure Blizzard, and the other publiahers like them, will keep it up at least just for their collector's editions because those come with figures and other things. But the rest of it will continue to be online only.

No. Outside of indies, they're letting the market take them there naturally. Microsoft tried to force the issue in 2013 and it went rather badly for them.

On consoles, it's an option. Physical discs are still available for most games, although at this point they're DRM/ for bad or capped internet, since the discs install the full game to the hard drive.

The spot for gift cards and codes for varying online games and vendors has several times more space dedicated to it.

There's basically no technocrats in Silicon Valley. Nearly all of them would poo poo themselves if all human beings received a strictly equal share of all the wealth and production of their world or even their continent. And they sure as poo poo don't support 4 day/16 hour total workweeks, they seem to get pretty mad when their staff is only working 16 hours a day.

Is your claim that the west coast is unlikely to get nuked also not what u meant to say? I hope so cuz that is a very obviously false claim. The west coast has huge population centers, naval bases, command and control, nuclear enrichement, etc. All prime targets.

But I'm sure you meant something completely different.

For what it's worth, the West Coast's population is also significantly more compacted into a few moderate sized metro areas with a lot of empty space between - it's much easier to wipe out with a much smaller amount of bombs.

Yeah I know the West Coast really enjoys thinking of itself as some sort of sole progressive forward thinking Mecca of the US for some reason. But if you glass the Northeast megalopolis I hope you enjoy your 1000 years of Republican electoral darkness.
