God of War 2 was legit Really Really Good. I replayed it not long ago. 3 and whatever the one or two after 3 were Real Bad. The new one looks like it'll be Okay.

I really want to make a highlight reel of every moment in a video game where you come up to a crevasse and have to straddle your way through. The average for the biggest blockbusters of the past decade is about 130 minutes then you sell that sweet directors cut on home video with 16 minutes of extra footage, or the extended cut with Will Ferrell vamping for an additional 30 minutes because his comedy films would be unwatchable without an actual editor.

I bought alienation at the same time (for $4 after coupon!!) and ended up playing that for most of the day. its definitely not housemarque's best game but their take on diablo is kind of cool and its definitely a hell of a lot better than dead nation was

I stopped by ToysRUs and lmao. All those animal crossing amiibos that every place was selling for a few bux each? They're now full price with the liquidation 5% saving. An entire 4*3 foot section was literally just Mabel. It was amazing.

I don’t normally like to recommend stuff, but if you have a friend to co-op with you should definitely play A Way Out (ideally unspoiled on what happens.)

Dunno what's so misleading about it, the game can play out like that if you want it too. Its easy for the combat too look amazing, it just quickly stops feeling satisfying because its so drat easy. The basic combat system is good but timed dodges, headshots, and element stuns make it really easy to trivialize everything and sap all the danger out of the game. Its still the Zelda game with the best combat by far, possibly excluding Skyward Sword with motion plus but most people hated that. If hard mode had changed the combat mechanics it would of been great but all it did was inflate enemy HP. I'm upset that BotW was such an amazing game but the DLC was so mediocre.

The new God of War looks pretty good, but it isn't being developed by Nintendo or a goony Japanese auteur with an rear end fetish so thats an automatic -10 games forum demerit.

It looks cool, but I find Kratos such an uninteresting punk I’m unlikely to get the game. I get enough similar combat vibes from Hellblade so I’m kinda satiated already in the slower deliberate over the shoulder melee action game front
