I'll take MP-5 over Rodimus any day, because MP-5 was about as good as could be done at the time, and aged horribly, while Rodimus is riddled with issues that have no excuse whatsoever. You can't even transform it into space Winnebago mode without scratching paint off the loving spoiler. It's a garbage figure full of completely solvable and unnecessary flaws, and the only one they seem to have fixed for this reissue is the knee problem, which was already fixed in the second shipment. Rodimus needs a ground-up redesigned new mold just as badly as Megatron did.

In Ontario, eh, liquor stores close at 6ish on sundays. In a move best described as pandering, the provincial government legalized the sale of alcohol in grocery stores. But you're not allowed to buy it after 6pm. So there's brightly lit liquor sections just sitting there but you can't have none.

PSX exclusive? Great. How about you ship vaguely on time? No? Sigh.

Having worked retail extensively (8 years) before getting a big boy job, any kind of "standard 5 day week and 2 days off all in a row" shift pattern is absolutely the incredibly unlikely exception rather than the rule. And this was back before the 0 hour contracts fad came in here in the U.K. and companies started openly making GBS threads on their staff rather than just quietly behind closed doors.

You tend to find full time staff get posted up to whatever combination of 5 out of the 7 days the store is forecast to be busiest and it's your part timers that get fixed days off because they have other commitments they're working around. Hope you like getting one day off at a time for possibly months at a time!

If you're lucky enough to get two in a row you're probably staring down the barrel of 6-10 days in-a-row suicide schedules, since they can start your week on say Wednesday-Sunday then immediately roll your next week as Monday-Friday.

Working retail is dogshit and I have Many Opinions about it.

Anway, I did this:

His back is a bit more filled out, it doesn't look so much like he's wearing JNCO jeans. There's no gaps. Flywheels can Master Blaster on his back. Sturdy enough to pick up and pose a bit, though it's not locked into place.

I keep fiddling with it, there's a lot of different ways you can keep it on there and still display well.

I want them to take away all the obvious feminine robots then about 10 issues in they arbitrarily reveal 3/4 of the cast to actually be ladybots and then introduce a big group of ultra feminine twink manbots.

Then I want the previews posted exclusively on tfw so the salt is easier to mine.

Alternatively I'd take "no boring human story poo poo unless they're just wordless background figures to giant robots smashing eachother" but if they're really doing the Hasbroverse I'm pretty sure my wish won't come true.

More human characters. All the human characters.

An essential element of TFs is that they're "robots in disguise". The clash between humans and alien shapeshifting robots needs to at least be a plot element at some point. Without that the fact they're shape changing robots is just incidental or at worst just window dressing. You can do it in ways like Beast Wars with the beast modes being essential for some aspect of their mission (and making them animated and as full of personality as the robot forms) or with the spiritual aspect used by Beast Machines, but that's not really the sort of thing you can repeat.

That is a really nice Prime. I think Legends is my new poo poo now that I've "finished" with MPs. Gonna see how he stacks up to THS' Prime before I commit to one though.

Really tiny bots or really loving huge bots, no half measures.

Also the last NBK Constructicon arrived and I am ok with it as a display bot but holy moly what a floppy piece of poo poo the pelvis is on the combined mode. The gun that's supposed to plug in the back and hold it together isn't going to fit unless I cut the barrel off, so I'll probably do that. Hands need some serious polishing too to stiffen them up enough to hold the crane jib.

They can still be in disguise, in fact being disguised is how they should avoid interacting with humans at all.

Humans in modern TF fiction in all its formats are the worst parts of the fiction. The only interesting thing directly interacting with humans gave us is IDW Thundercracker, and even that wasn't worth reading through anything at all involving Verity Carlo/Garrison Blackrock/any of the IDW Witwicky family/insert any other human character you want in here because they are all boring as gently caress and pointless time wasters when there's a 40' tall robot who turns into a jet or a truck or a tank or a salad shooter that I could be reading about instead.

It would be nice if they could keep up the "disguise" part for longer... what got me started with the IDW comics was Infiltration, in which Prowl's team actually tried to maintain cover and Starscream's team... also did I guess?
