Now I'm wondering how much money Katy would've ended up with if she'd have bet everything on both Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy.

I felt bad for her because, despite her clearly knowing plenty and doing really well, her body language was staunchly belying her low self-confidence, with how she kept wincing after every answer, even though she was answering correctly. But yeah, both of us watching booed heavily at her Double Jeopardy wagers.

I think the Daily Double bets were appropriate considering how close everyone is and she may not have been particularly confident in them. Final Jeopardy bet should have been much higher though. That bet was "I hope both of them get it wrong."

I feel bad for the guy, if I'm going into final jeopardy with "Musical Theatre" as the category, I'm gonna probably wager nothing too. He got screwed by the clue being really, really easy.

Wagering from 2nd or 3rd can be tricky. Wagering from 1st is not. Bet enough to cover a double up by second place. If you lose because you got the question wrong, isn't that a little better than getting it right from the lead and losing anyway?

A lot of people (not necessarily in the thread, this includes people I know) seem to think that you place your wager after you write your answer. FJs have been easy lately, but they can vary wildly in difficulty.

I can't even name all the baseball teams and even I got that one because "when translated" obviously means a Spanish-named city, and the first one to think of is Los Angeles, then Las Vegas, and I doubt they have a baseball team called The Las Vegas Fields.

I suppose it is fair that the Angels haven't actually been the "Los Angeles Angels" for very long. They were the California Angels for most of their existence and if you only tangentially pay attention (or not at all) to baseball you may not know that they're the LA Angels.

Yeah, the Angels never even occurred to me on that one, because in my head it's still 1993 and they're still the California Angels.

For some reason I went to the New York Mets aka Metropolitans, which is kind of a synonym for a city. It doesn't really work, but with some fuzzy logic it's close.
