See if there is a makerspace where you live with woodworking gear. Looks like "how to make a wooden planter box" returns tons of guides on YouTube. You could probably whip up something yourself without too much trouble.

he eats nothing but takeout anyway, there are no food prep facilities on site

they could refuse him visitors etc to encourage him to leave but at that point they may as well just order him to leave

Reversing on an asylum grant doesn’t look great either. The best outcome for them is that he leaves of his own accord.

If you think about it this was not the best move for Ecuador right from the beginning. I mean how did they see this working out. That Assange would live in the embassy forever? That the US would eventually give up!

It was a very different environment at the time and quite a bit of the world still viewed Assange as a living hero. IIRC they were quite a few goons at the time who thought the rape charges were part of a conspiracy to extradite a science back to the US where he could be tortured it and black bagged. During the early portion of his Asylum and look like he was actually going to be a net benefit because he was actually doing interesting things like having a web show where he was interviewing people like Slavoj Zizek.

Then it became clear that he was 1.) A clinical narcissist, and 2.) In the pocket of Vladimir Putin and functioning as his unofficial mouthpiece.

I'll see if I can go dig them up but as I recall there was a report by the Ecuadorian government about Assange's mental state and living conditions that leaked out a year or two ago. From what I remember he lives in a tiny little room that was the ladies restroom until it was converted for him to live in. He's made a terrific mass and the staff complains constantly about the smell, he's frequently verbally abusive to the staff and has had to be restrained from trying to enter into secure areas multiple times, he was showing clear signs of mental decay as a result of the captivity even back then, and basically everyone who worked in the embassy loathed his existence.

I can only imagine the gigantic toddler ask meltdown he's been having ever since he found out that his internet access has been cut off permanently. I'm narcissist like a signed is not going to be able to tolerate those conditions for very long. He is an attention whore who wants to feel powerful and influential more than anything else, and living in a ladies room literally cut off from the entire world it's the exact opposite of that.

Also I very severely doubt that he'll be able to access some sort of Wi-Fi with his landline cut. The Ecuadorian Embassy is just one small section of a rather large building that contains a multiple foreign embassies that deal with the British government. I don't think it's possible that there would be an unsecured Wi-Fi network that Assange
would be able to access from his tiny little room in that area, and that's assuming he was given both a Wi-Fi router by the Ecuadorian government and is able to get some kind of signal. My suspicion is that entire building has been rather strongly shielded/secured against electronic interference and eavesdropping because it has multiple foreign embassies.

Assange has managed to lock himself into a personal hell that is far worse than anything the Swedish government would have done to him even if he had gotten the maximum sentence for everything he was accused of. If he had just faced the music and accepted whatever came he probably would have found a way to live it down and would have been a free man long ago.

I still think I'm going to keep them separate but I might grow a few wild bushes of herbs in the garden to keep stuff away. They can just be a pain in the rear end to deal with and weed, in my experience.

I've been laughing at the idea of Trump pardoning Manafort and Flynn.

As in, presidential pardons amount to an absolute, unappealable confession of guilt on the part of the pardoned. So at that point, Trump would have accelerated the process of gathering damning evidence against himself (by circumventing Manafort and Flynn's criminal trials).

Yeah, I need to replant my front herb garden because for some reason the rosemary bushes died over the winter (I have no idea why this happened, maybe overwatering from heavy rains we had). Now I've got a dead spot between the thyme and the oregano that I have to fill with something.

Dude. Man. Bruh. There's 2 huge ones on either side of the front door and small ones every 4-ish feet on the back and side perimeters. Every year at least 2 of the back/side ones die or something and she makes me move them. And there's a line of trees on the other side and one of those will loving die.
