Please it's going to be about a Princess who doesn't want to be a Princess she wants to do boy stuff and at the end she just does boy stuff and they'll never address whether she's trans or not.

It'll be like Persona 4 that has a character dress like a boy to be taken seriously but she isn't a boy and is fine with being a girl and not trans but boy howdy do people love to go "she's totally trans you guys"

To be fair to trans men, how many relatable trans men exist in video games? It's easier to find "good enough" than the real McCoy.

I mean hell the only videogame I can think of with a trans person in general is Catherine and I don't really know how well she was handled so that's a fair enough point.

It's a response to new legislature that can hold companies responsible if they're believed to have been involved in human trafficking, which has really only shut down a bunch of avenues for legitimate sex workers.

What, it's bad to waste horse meat but fine to waste human meat? Seems like a double standard to me.

Besides, it's only cannibalism if it's the same species. Humans and centaurs are different species, so if they eat us or we eat them it's not cannibalism.

I’m pretty sure centaurs and humans can mate though. You may not notice their offspring since the children have very faint voices because they’re a little hoarse.

IIRC, the main argument is that this isn't actually going to do anything significant against sex trafficking, but it is going to force sex workers into less safe avenues of communication. Basically the same result of all anti-prostitution regulations.

I'm sure the details in that Newsweek article are involved, but mostly it's more fallout from the feds new laws about corporate responsibility claiming to be about sex trafficking, like craigslist eliminating their dating section or amazon moving all books flagged with explicit content down to the no reviews ghetto.

Basically starting 5/1, MS is banning all naughty content across the board and are saying they reserve the right to monitor everything. Want to have a sexy video date on skype with your partner? If you Google Image Search a porn star, you get pictures of them clothed. If you Bing Image Search a porn star, you... do not get pictures of them clothed.

Here are the first three rows of Asa Akira in GIS. It's :nws: but apart from a large dildo she's holding while clothed, it's PG-13 at worst.

Here are the first three rows of Asa Akira in Bing image search. That link contains hardcore pornography - don't click it if you don't want to see that.

Bing is basically where Google was about 7-8 years ago for image searches.

Basically, FOSTA claims to be about human trafficking but is actually so broad that it can be interpreted to criminalize any form of legal sex work (including porn, cam sites, and selling pictures and videos). It doesn’t see a difference between a teenager kidnapped and forced into prostitution and a college student doing porn on Chaturbate to pay for tuition.

And then it places the penalties on the company that was deemed to facilitate this, like Google. So Microsoft freaked out and changed its ToS to ban as much “obscenity” as possible to avoid criminal penalties for someone using Microsoft for something like camming.

To be a stickler, I don't believe that's accurate. The East India Trading Company was certainly involved in the slave trade for a while, but it was highly concentrated (as one might expect) on bringing those slaves to its possessions in the East Indies. The British Atlantic slave trade was under the monopoly of the Royal African Company until about 1700, after which it came to be essentially dominated by independent traders.
