Dangles painting their Termies bone was a Post-HH thing right? Pre- they were all in black? Maybe that's canon now, but I think at one stage of the fluff the genestealer story (The Tale of Two Heads Talking) was described as an allegory, or just one of the many stories told to marines at various times during their ascension through the circles of the Dangles. Part of the whole secrets and lies business - it might be true, or half true, or sheer bullshit. Perhaps the Deathwing wore bone for a good deal longer.

Thanks for the encouragement re: my painting, friends.  I have a rules question - how does Sniper affect weapons with high strength that, normally, would wound on a lower roll than the 4+ specified by the Sniper rule? For example, if I had a Veteran Tac Squad with a Plasma Gun, would it still wound a regular Marine on a 4+, or would the Strength 8 of the Plasma Gun override that rule and wound on a 2+? I'm confused. I've been playing 40k for years and I've honestly never had a high strength weapon with sniper.
