I saw Accept when they went on tour with Kreator and Swallow The Sun, and Accept were just so loving good that it made the other bands sound like absolute trash. That's definitely one performance I'll always remember.

Yeah I already bought it, just didn't have a good chance to listen to the whole thing yet. Been feeling very tired and lethargic for the last couple days, not exactly the best speed metal mood.

I just remembered another metal love song. Can't believe I didn't think of it until now, it's one of my favorite songs wtf https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkuzJMZ8LD4 Q: Are there any albums that sound remotely like Forest of Equilibrium? To me it's an untouchable milestone and it always seemed strange that it didn't spawn a bunch of straight-up copycats. I guess it influenced doom/death and possibly funeral doom somewhat, but I'm talking shameless worship. Even Cathedral themselves never really tried for the same thing again. What gives, was this really a not even particularly dead horse that was never beaten?

Its kind of surprising to me that all those bm bands that sold out and went hypercommercial in the late 90s are still around but i guess someone somewhere still buys their records

That's fair, but in my experience touring most of the US, it wasn't an option. 8+ hour drives between stops, unknown cities, very little spare cash, lots of factors working against the idea.

The first and only time (so far) that I got equipment stolen was early on where a local piece of poo poo stole the only 2 pedals I had on my board. Like, they were cheap Boss / Danelectro pedals, but goddammit, it loving sucked. When you're 15 and just starting out, that poo poo knocks the wind out of your sails a great deal. I cannot even begin to imagine poo poo like that happening and not feeling super down about it.

# ? Apr 3, 2018 19:06 |

I imagine there's a good market for pilfering pedals, they're easy to pocket, and some of them are incredibly rare.
