BioShock 2 had legit better gameplay than BioShock 1 though so that's not some indefensible opinion. Tooie over Kazooie though? I can't agree with that.

I bought The Alliance Alive because people were saying it's actually good and well I'm only a couple of hours in but I'm having a great time so I'm looking forward to playing more of it this week. It's low budg as hell but it's cute and charming, and I love SaGa gameplay. Also the soundtrack is kind of unusual but really good. The world map has this nice PSO sounding track and they do the smart thing of letting it play uninterrupted through battles, I really appreciate it.

Bioshock 1 was one of my favorite games as a kid but I thought the sequel looked like pointless pandering so I didn't buy it. It was probably the first instance where I thought to myself "hey that story was pretty tight and contained...why do we need a sequel?". Years later I look back on its existence a lot more favorably because hey its not loving Infinite!

Its always weird to me when people understate how loving vile the internet can be to those it decides it doesn't like. No one on the internet gets a hate following that is just made up of people joshing them for being dumb or whiney. Phil Fish was a guy mainly known for being disliked. Of course he had nothing but a constant stream of the worst the internet has to offer, which is pretty bad. You also have to remember he argued against and was in the crosshairs of gamer gate so he got to deal with those wonderful people too

Fish wasn't a millionaire punching bag Molyneux or Cage, he was just some spaz from Canada.

the most twee thing about fez is in your first loop finding the cool sophisticated city full of people speaking an incomprehensible language, then cycling and learning their ancient language and discovering all the secrets of the world, bestowing boons, and ready to take your place among the residents of the city of the gods. and then you start talking to them and you realize they've all just been calling you a stupid hick the whole time
