Is there any Gen 1/2 mon worth getting from the virtual console releases? I mean, those games had very wacky TM selections, is there any worthwhile?

Just click through here a bit and you'll have a Pokedex in no time. http://www.native-languages.org/legends.htm quote:The Water Panther (or Water Lynx) is a powerful mythological creature something like a cross between a cougar and a dragon. Water Panther is a dangerous monster that lives in deep water and causes men and women to drown. The legends of some tribes describe Water Panther as the size of a real lynx or mountain lion, while in others, the beast is enormous. Water Panther has a very long prehensile tail which is often said to be made of copper. Details of the monster vary from community to community, but in many stories, Water Panthers are described as furry with either horns or deer antlers and a sharp saw-toothed back. Steel/Water type cat thing

Had Pokémon been invented in The West rather then Japan, we probably would have gotten more designs that were based on classical monsters. Although I do wish that they would create a Jackelope, since that would make a perfect Pokémon. However, I get the feeling that its too obscure to Japanese people.

Jackalope is so unknown to Japan that they made an entire Yo-Kai Watch game set in America and didn't include it

Man poor Tauros. He's the biggest Gen 1 victim of changing mechanics and power creep. He's like the kid who's starting QB in High School, then when he goes to college he becomes second string then eventually he's benched. The last you see him he's playing team sports at he park, and he gets escorted off because he got all angry the ref is making him recharge after that Hyper Beam even though he got the KO

Random question: are there any Water Pokémon that can actually turn themselves liquid (even temporarily), for instance like Alex Mack and the Liquidator from Darkwing Duck can? It's a cool superpower and I seemed to remember that Suicune could turn itself into water, but going over its Pokédex entries those don't actually mention anything like that (though it can purify it and walk on it, like Jesus and Surskit). Are there any others? If not, that would still be a cool theme for a future mon. It could be Poison-type as well instead of Water. Also a Ground or Rock mon that can turn itself into a sandstorm or a storm of glass. Or an Ice one that can itself become a living snow- or hailstorm. We do already have living lightning (Mega Manectric) and electricity (Rotom), so that's covered already.

Oh right, Vaporeon can! It says so right in its Pokédex entries. That's who I was thinking of when I thought it was Suicune, both Water-type canids so that's why I got them mixed up.

Zore posted:Also remember Grimer/Muk just straight up are liquid. Depends on your definition. Wikipedia posted:Sludge is a semi-solid slurry and can be produced as sewage sludge from wastewater treatment processes or as a settled suspension obtained from conventional drinking water treatment and numerous other industrial processes. The term is also sometimes used as a generic term for solids separated from suspension in a liquid; this 'soupy' material usually contains significant quantities of 'interstitial' water (between the solid particles).
