We're all going to experience changes in our life but only the best of us will qualify for front row seats.

Wait, I thought Cameron Diaz took her shoes off during that scene! Edit: I should probably mention this slightly :nws:

Google tells me it was an ad for LG TVs, so babby is probably fine.

The fighting in such fake clips is always energetically inefficient - no true Russian would fight like that. Plus the obvious camerawork signs.

It's a BA 323 "5-door coupe" - called the Lantis in Japan, 323F in Europe and the Astina in Australia/NZ, and Allegro in some other places. They were a really solid car but yeah, they weren't ever sold in the US. Not sure why because they were popular in Europe, so they were already available in LHD. They were a lot of fun with the V6.

I think actually if you take a closer look you'll see that it's actually just a render and not a car at all.

There's a whole bunch of ship collision compilation videos on youtube. It turns out that vehicles that weigh thousands of tons have a lot of inertia and it's really hard to turn them away from a collision at the last second, who would have guessed?

This doco about ship breaking talks a bit about how the captains of the ships sold for salvage have to deliberately beach them at the ship breaking yard. It's crazy af seeing these monsters just run right into the shore but also it's sad as the captain is waxing poetic and everything.

Dad had a red 1.9l for about ten years in Germany. We kind of got it in the US, in a kind of an Escort with a 928 bodykit way. Great loving car, but then I love pillarless "coupes".

California has a Mount Disappointment because some surveyors climbed all the way up it only to see an even taller mountain they then had to trek over to.

Australia has a Mount Disappointment because the trees near the summit blocked a scenic vista and also because one of the guys who climbed it hurt his dick.

It's drat good ad. The best adds are 29 (or 59) seconds of entertainment and then a logo. It makes a positive association for the brand and provides a bit of entertainment. I worked for an ad agency (don't actually do this) and I figured out pretty quick that these were a bunch of business-savvy artistic types who had figured out how to get multinational corporations to fund experimental short films.
