Community always felt like too many people were pulling the levers of what kind of show they wanted it to be. That and then once they had a few successful gimmick episodes they decided to make what felt like every episode be a gimmick episode which defeats the purpose. Also Pierce, I loving hated Pierce and how he would be an insufferable piece of poo poo but the show doubled down on the whole “we’re friends and friends support each other” shtick that they kept having to reconcile with him. Still though it’s better than most sitcoms.

Community S6 is probably the best season for me. Frankie and Elroy are sterling additions to the cast, the heartfelt character moments are more consistently good than in other seasons, and it's still really really funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAIJD5OA4y0
