I happen to live in Atlanta in an area that didn’t get sacked by Sherman because it was used as a staging ground for Union troops. So in the event that we start Sherman’s March 2.0, I’m perfectly okay quartering troops who will show Johnny Reb who’s boss (again). I’m guessing that most black folks in and around the South would do the same, so problem solved.

Meanwhile, in Syria, it looks like there's been another chemical attack (likely with chlorine gas) that has killed at least 30 people and wounded 400 others in the besieged town of Douma, on the outskirts of Damascus. Generally the big cities in the south are as generally on the same level as big cities in the north, most racism is closeted or institutional. Anything else in the south is a crap shoot. My wife is mixed, so she has curly hair, brown eyes, and an olive complexion. About monthly someone tell her they only speak English, ask her where in Mexico she’s from, or other such garbage. Mind you my wife is getting her JD, only speaks English, and was born in Georgia. I also see 5 confederate flags on my 15 minute drive to Fort Bragg every day.
