So what are the odds Doug is clueless about this? Like, is he just super oblivious, or do Mike and Rob work to keep him insulated from most of what goes on behind the scenes?

Doug is, from all accounts, both clueless and incredibly incurious, so I don't think Rob and Mike need to work that hard to keep him locked out out the loop. That said, if he's managed to stay ignorant of anything that's happened over the past two weeks by anything but sheer conscious will, I would be be floored.

Doug strikes me as the kind of tone-deaf dipshit who thinks he's playing "good cop" next to Rob and Michaud every time there's a conflict.

Tony's initial sentiment, that there's clearly people piggybacking the hashtag because they're vindictive assholes who just want to see Channel Awesome burn because they hate Doug and have zero concern for anyone involved, it's not inaccurate. Like, yeah, a lot of Gators are in the mix thinking that this constitutes revenge, or proves that SJWs ruin everything, or just see it as an opportunity for chaos. Jim (Metokur/Internet Aristocrat) has used it as an opportunity to whip up his harassment brigade, so there's a pretty decent amount of garbage going around. I've definitely had to toss out some pretty liberal blocks this week, and some other producers have found their Twitter basically unusable as a result. The "funny" thing with Jackula is that I never knew he had a hate boner for me in specific. I'd muted him months before my GamerGate video went up because he kept posting and retweeting porn.

He also repeats the 4chan talking point of Dan being a pedophile for writing an article about 8chan being full of child pornography. He seems like an incredibly bitter person who has never forgotten a single slight, no matter how small or imagined. I do remember watching that video (assuming this is the one you're referring to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9ax_VuO3JI). I rewatched it because I didn't recall him bringing that up, and he doesn't say anything like that. I don't follow Jackula, though, so maybe he said it in a different video. It wasn’t very good. Not the worst thing, but Paul Feig was the worst choice to do it. Ghostbusters needs tight scripting and well thought out comedy over improv riffs that go nowhere. The cast is fine.

Ghostbusters 2 sucks. I never realized it until I had a Harold Ramis stream when he died and Jay showed up to watch and started pointing out all this stuff and it’s like, oh dang. I never really watched it much. Mostly the first one all the time. GB2 when it came on TV.

Yeah, could we not post really awful explicit abuse and harassment? Like a lot of the stuff is really stupid and easy to laugh at, but explicit, targeted, harassment about sensitive topics can be really exasperating for people even before taking into account that some of the targeted individuals read this thread.

I quite like GB16, I put in on par with GB2, which I also like. Both films are pretty flawed (it's actually astounding how close GB2 mimics the structure and incident of the first) but I think they're fine. Just fine.
